You all love your consoles and thats great but what about people who love the arcades as well(yes! some people don't have a home console). I think Midway should of released MKDA in the arcades first, they would of made tons of money and they would have had time to finish the home version. MKDA would of brought back the feel of MK2 and till this day no one and no game has had that feel. Ahhhh! but they still can release a version of it in kit form and add a few new things to it! ....and BAM! its a hit. Yeah I know that MK6 will be online, but the thing is arcade games are online right now, like GoldenTee Golf, Big Buck Hunter, Counter Tops and Jukeboxes. Take the NetStar Jukebox for example, it has to be hooked up to DSL. Just think about it, you could play any one in the world from the arcade and it could connect to all 3 of the homesystems or unlock all kinds of secrets. The arcade machine can upload your information to a server (stats, profile, etc.), then when you get home, the console can download that information and WHAM! you could unlock some big things that you would have never have gotten if you did not play the arcade version. If you buy the Xbox version, can you play against PS2 users? Most likely not. But what better way to play against the users of all 3 than in the arcade? I would just love to see Midway put it in the arcade, in some way, shape or form. Midway doesn't have to design the board and create someone else could! (besides, Sega is already using X-Box software in some of their arcade games, like House Of The Dead III). Look at Ultracade (an PC arcade board with multiple classic games like Street Fighter, Pacman, etc.)it just uses a pc emulater (like Mame) and plays arcade perfect. What do you Think?!?!

1-I agree, they should had release MKDA in arcades.

2-Actually, when I first played (and actually saw) MKDA, I knew MK2 was going to be left far way for me. I DID feel the Mk2 feeling when I played it, and even more, MKDA was just perfect (not really, it missed more fatalities and pits) but other then that...perfect. By far, is the best Mk game ever.

Though I'm not all that good at arcade games (not really good with the joy stick VS the controler) it sounds pretty cool. Why not.

I think your right, it should be in the Arcades....for many reasons....Mortal Kombat's birth place was in the arcade, part 5 would most likely be in the arcade if it wasn't for part 4 (even though it was "claimed" to be a success, how many people did you see playing it in the arcade?). Part 5 was probably a cheaper gamble to release it on the home system, even if it sucked (Midway would have probably went under), but it didn't (fighting engine wise, lacking on the secrets, stages and final bosses is another story). Here's a thought, why not realease part 5 in the arcade when 6 is released on the home system? But with several features or things that were not included in the home version of part 5? I like the idea of unlocking secrets for the home version by playing the arcade version (visa versa) although it might be a programming nightmare to setup matches that connect to the home player and the arcade player (but if it's possible, it would be a dream come true). Ed Boon has been quoted for saying that arcade games need to be quick, fast and furious...not true, just look at Soul Calibur 2 and the Conquest mode, it takes awhile to get through 8 rounds and I've seen several people how would rather play that then someone standing right next to them! There is sometimes a 20 minute wait for it!...but it's still the #1 arcade game right now, because it's the only new arcade fighting game that arcade owners are even willing to take a chance on! Mortal kombat V has already proven to have a great fighting engine and it's been a success on the home system....slap some extras, new bosses, more secrets, new stages, a "Konquest Mode" type system, new characters and you have a arcade hit! Also because you can show of the skills and none of the extra stuff will be on the home system. If worse comes to worse, Midway can license it out as a arcade kit (since most Midway cabinets were change to Golden Tees, why not change them back to Mortal Kombats?) to another company then sell them to arcades at discount prices....
