What was your first Mortal Kombat experience? I remember mine like it was yesterday. My grandmother, my brother and I walked around the corner to our local comic shop (back in 1992 of course) I was 8 or 9 at the time, I was still living on Staten Island. We walked into the shop and I saw a couple kids around a new arcade machine. I went over and watched them play and was immediately in love with the game. When my bro and I got a chance to play, he picked Sub Zero and I picked Scorpion (to this day sub zero is my bro's fav and scorpion is mine!) I ended up winning because i figured out how to throw the spear so I kept doing that and an uppercut over and over (cheap I know but I was young) When finish him came up I didn't know what to do so that's when one of the kids waiting to play told me how to do Scorpion's Fatality. I did the move and watched in glory as Sub Zero turned to smoldering bones. From then on, I would walk to the comic shop almost everyday to play until they got rid of it :( But that was when MK2 came out! I have never been so in love with any other videogame series ever since that day.
