Hotaru and Dairou could easily be 2 of the new best MK characters. I'm glad that there in, a samurai sounds bad ass.

I especially cant wait to play as Hotaru.

Hotaru is already becoming one of my favorites. I love the samurai idea ninja vs. samurai...chinese vs. japanese....maybe scorpion will drop the cowardice yellow ninja costume since sub zero wasnt the real killer of his family and he'll go back to being a samurai, if he was one the never stated wether his original clan were samurais or ninjas

They both sound like cool characters.

Dairou looks really cool in the concept sketches from MKDA.

Hotaru looks very cool, with the dark armour and spear type weapon. He's my favourite MKD newcomer so far.

I liked the Dairou sketches, and had a feeling he'd show up. I hope he's very different to the other swordsman style fighters around.

Hotaru looks pretty cool. I like his look and his weapon looks cool. He has the flags like Yoshimitsu does on Soul Calibur 2 which I also think is cool. And the armour looks great.

Dairou looks ok. Hotaru looks so much better.

well im glad diarou is in this his concept art in da was awsome, i hope baphemot is added to that list along with hachiman (wouldnt you say the last one has been done before "cough hayato" From capcom series)

I like the concept art of Dairou in MK:DA so I'm quite looking forward to having him as a character, and playing him/learning his story, but to be honest I'm not impressed with Hotaru so far. He just looks boring. There are many things interesting/intriguing me about Deception, and I can't say Hotaru is one of them. He's just there, not bothered about him.

Both are cool both Are evil and Both Have cool weapons(assuming Dariou has his swords)hopefully there fatalities might be awsome and I think they are twins.

I agree, he look great. Although i don't really like the flags on his back....they should've used sword blades arranged like a fan as in some traditional samuari armours.

wow. gay, There is nothing impressive about those characters. Those where my first impressions but I will hold out final judgement till after gameplay.
And those flags, Is he gonna be doing flips with those things? I hope they can break.

Hotaru is the by far the best looking new character in the game yet. The black and gold armor looks amazing. The warflags remind me of Yoshimitsu, their pretty kool. I think Hotaru's weapon is gonna be a staff with a blade attached to the end (there's a pic of it in the german article). I just hope that his alternate has him wearing a samurai helmet.

Not to sound like a tool, but I think they call a staff with a blad on the end a spear. ;)

I like the idea of Hotaru/Dairou. One's evil and the other's out for revenge. Dairou is described as being a ronin, which means that he has no clan if I'm not mistaken. Perhaps their storylines tie into one another? I'm assuming they will. I can't wait to see how these guys play! I have a feeling that it'll be like a samouri version of Sub VS Scorpion. I'm all for that.

lol I think it has a different name though, cuz the blade is flat and not like the spear shape scorpion has.
