$20 for anybody who solves my problem (SOLVED)

Having a really big problem with my computer. I am trying to edit videos after capturing(or even just importing an existing file). Problem is, there is NO AUDIO coming through at all. It detects the aidio in the file and I can edit everything, but audio will not play back.

I am using Pinnacle Studio Ultimate HD (14 i think)

Once I export the video into a format and open it in say Windows media palyer or anything, it all works fine. Its within the program thats really causing me problems. NOTHING.

Im seriously willing to pay somebody to help me solve this.

The ONLY thing that Crosses my mind, is I have a Black Magic Intensity Pro capture card, perhaps something with the drivers or something SOMEWHERE is messing with this.

Ive tried windows 7 mixer levels, nothing, its already up.

Im losing my mind over this... Somebody seriosuly, if you can help. please. hahaha redrum redrum REDRUM!!!

Sounds like someone was having a similar issue. The person answering doesn't know how to fix the problem for sure, but gives a suggestion.

That probably won't help, and since I'm not knowledgeable on this specific program, searching Google is the best I can do. I'll continue looking and see if I can find anything. Best of luck!

Ah, no problem. Did you try the live chat with tech support from the Pinnacle site? I sent it to you on Twitter, not sure you got it or not. Anyway, I hope it's an easy fix and you get it working soon. Tech problems can be so frustrating and it's always the simplest things, too!

Sounds to me like you need to download more codecs to match whatever filetype your video is. Try that first, since that seems like the easiest fix to me... however it's been almost two years since I've had a Windows PC so I could be out of the loop.

I figured out what the problem is, I just cant fix it.

Something in the Drivers (likely audio) for the black magic intensity pro capture card (which it need to run) is interfearing with the Pinnacle program's audio.

There has to be a shared audio factor. Tried all the Codecs, tried tuns of different combinations and even different versions. The only time theres no audio in the editing program(pinnacle) is when the black magic intensity drivers are installed.

So i need a solution or file replacement to allow both of these access without conflicting.

Split the audio and convert the audio to a wav then combine them back in the program

I'm not completely clear on what's happening when (or even much of an expert to begin with), but if the problem is only present in editing phases, and you are successfully capturing video with audio, you might want to try closing any program with conflicting audio use.

In other words, if you're leaving capturing programs open while editing, capture everything you need before you go to the edit phase and close all of that stuff. Also make sure you've got sites with flash players closed (ie; YouTube, or sites with adverts) and anything else that might be using audio.

Not sure if it'll help with your particular problem, but it happens!

You could also try different programs, like Avid, or Windows Movie Maker.

Problem solved:

just for conclusion purposes...

The program itself has a default unchangable setting to go directly through the sound card which was at that point in use by my capture card. This creates conflict between the two and wont allow the program's audio to come through AT ALL.

Solution:

went into the program files for Pinnacle Studio 14 and had to add a line which tells it to output the sound directly through my speakers.

the line inserted in "settings"

[ASIOIO]
SEL_DEVICE_SZ=00000000-0000-0000-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00

Problem soved, Card runs through the soundcard THEN through the speakers, The program runs right through the speakers.
