A little late, but anybody watching? What're you enjoying?
I've been digging curling when I can catch it. Norway/Denmark was good!
Lotsa good snowboarding action. Glad to get to some racing this week.

I'm watching the women's curling gold match. Slightly distracted by Canada playing yellow, Sweden playing red. I question this design choice.

Bummed enough to not show USA Wins in their lights. They have like this light up display that shows off the winners of whatever sport they're showing. Skipped out in showing the USA Hockey Team won so they just showed a bunch of other stuff.
Sore losers.

Let's go, Team USA. Don't really wanna be the losers to keep the Bieb.
Unfortunately, due to work I can hardly watch anything live except for the events during weekends.
Biathlon is by far my favorite winter sport, and speaking of biathlon...
At 40 years of age, the legend of biathlon and one of the greatest athletes across all sports ever, Ole Einar Bjørndalen (Norway), won 2 gold medals in Sochi for a total of 8 Olympic gold medals. He has a chance to win another one tomorrow in the men's relay event. Going into the 2014 Olympics he has been struggling in the biathlon world cup competition where hasn't won a race for 2 years, so the Sochi achievement is even greater.
The biggest disappointment for me was not being able to watch the mass start race (my absolute favorite biathlon event) where all the best athletes start at the same time, ski and shoot under same conditions. I was so hyped to watch the race as it was originally scheduled to be run on Sunday, but due to fog it was rescheduled (twice actually) and was run on Tuesday when I couldn't watch due to work. What made it even more painful is that it ended in a photo-finish between two greatest rivals of current-day biathlon (Martin Fourcade and Emil Hegle Svendsen) so it mast have been a cracking race!
... ... ...
Just a little earlier today I saw the last period of the ice hockey match between Canada and USA. Enjoyed it. I'd say ice hockey is my second favorite sport at Winter Olympics. Cheering for Finland to win vs USA in the bronze medal match and Sweden to win vs Canada in the gold medal match. Go Europe!

The Finland-USA bronze game is done, it finished 5-0 for the Finnish. Rask was sick in the Sweden game but he returned for this one. I think this was a great way to end Teemu Selänne's unbelievable career.

Biathlon's been great! I think Bond is in real trouble next time he's in Russia!
Well, the ice hockey final game was disappointing as in it was very one-sided. Canada dominated throughout the game and deserved to win.
As for that men's relay event in biathlon, it was looking like Ole was going to win another gold medal as Norway was in the lead going into the final exchange. However, Emil Hegle Svendsen had a disaster on the shooting range in the final shooting, ended up doing a penalty loop and Norway finished 4th in the end (they were the clear faves for gold). Mother Russia took the gold in the end, great final run from Anton Shipulin, very happy for him.
Apparently there's plenty of drama going on about the ladies' figure skating event. There has been some drama about how extremely difficult the 2nd slalom run was in the men's alpine skiing event. The course was set by Ante Kostelić (CRO), who's known for setting difficult courses. I must say I enjoyed it. I'd rather watch a race where every other skier fails to reach the finish line than a race where 99/100 reach the finish line. It's the Olympics afterall, it's supposed to be hard.

I enjoyed watching the Kerrigan/Harding story before the closing events.
Tonya Harding is still a piece of crap. I know that Nancy said "we should just move on," and obviously we did... But while watching this story, you can't stop yourself from thinking that Tonya is just nothing but a lying sack of crap. I especially loved it when she was asked to describe what she was doing on the day that Nancy was attacked. She hesitates, makes a bogus claim that it was twenty years and she won't remember all of the specifics, and then says that she was sleeping throughout most of the day.
I couldn't stop laughing at that. Although it's funny to see how Nancy's life has basically stayed fine while Tonya's is like, she'll do anything just to get money. And let's not forget about that eh... sex tape that she has. I never saw it, nor do I want to, especially after reading what it's about.
Thank you Cracked.com for the lovely description of it.
