Ok, I'm sorry for creating a thread about this, but I am really confused about this whole NOOB situation. There a peeps on this forum that I've seen get pissed and into flame wars with members they call "noobs". I would just like to know who are these noobs. Please someone let me in on this too.

uhh... theres a huge differences in what is what...
n00bs: are new members who think they are the best thing to ever be created on god's green earth.
noobs: are sorta arrogant new members but they change they're attitude after a while.
newbies: are new members who are not really one hundred percent on the rules or such.
thats the huge difference, everyone thinks all new members are n00bs, thats wrong, newbie is a honorable name for a new member, showing they are new and they are welcomed to the site, n00bs are not so nice since they think they are better then all the other members.

In any event it's stupid. To argue with someone just because u have visited the site 3000 times more then them doesn't mean a damn thing. Everyone was a noob at somepoint. Sure some 'noobs' make dumb ass duplicate threads, who cares?? Only the MODS should care about that stuff, if ur just a user and u leave because of a 'noob' that is just sad.

I find it disturbing that you know all that.
And Hyuga's right (uh-oh, shouldn't have said that, seeing as how you-know-who will get pissed at me or anybody else saying something positive about you), to a point. It's true that visit number, post count or the ammount of time somebody's been a member of any site: A moron is a moron, period.
However, I feel that most (if not all) arguments should be avoided completely, but there are exceptions where I feel a person has a right to defend him/herself, and sometimes, this happens when a noob/n00b/newbie doesn't "get" how certain things are.
