I live in Europe, and have been wondering about the E3 for a while. From what i've understood, the E3 is an exposition open only to Journalists, and i was wondering if i'm wrong, and in fact anybody can go there, provided they are old enough? I would appreciate anybody answering the question, and staying polite at the same time.

yes. It is possible, but you have to be a student above 18, plus you might as well pay them the 500$ fee. But even ten it is at their discretion.

actually it is journalists, video game store people (if thir booses get the paperwork) and certain GAP (US SONY Gamer advisory panel) people. The Gamer Advisory Panel is an exclusive, invite only, community where you may talk directly to PlayStation to share your insights about the future of gaming. I am not in the GAP (SHOULD BE DARNIT!)
Four ways to get into E3:

1. Be an industry professional (ie; work as a game developer, artist, programmer, publicist, etc.)

2. Be a member of the industry media (ie; work for a video game magazine, website, etc.)

3. Be invited to attend the show by an industry professional (as is the case with the MKO staff, who were invited to attend by Midway)

4. Show a connection to the industry and pay the entrance fee (you do not need to be employed by anyone int he industry, but you must have above average connection to the industry. This is the only option that you must pay for, and the basic entrance rate is $325.00).
