K, well, I'm looking to buy a car. Now, I was talking to this towing dude and he said you can get some decent stuff from auto auctions. The ones he pointed me to were some that the local towing companies host every other week.

I was just wondering, for anyone who may know, if you really can get some decent stuff at these auctions? Are they decent cars, like not all jacked up and what not? I know a lot of used car dealers go to auctions, so i'm guessing there is some decent stuff to be had.

If such is the case, then how much would I be looking to bid? I'm interested in a 94-00 Escort, or something similar in the year and price range. I'm just worried about getting into a bidding war with some used car dealer, lol.

The guy I talked to said he bought a Geo Metro for 80 bucks, lol. Drove it for eight months, then sold it for 650 and didn't do a damn thing to it. Anywho, if anyone could help me out on what I should be looking for in price range and tips on bid wars, or if i have to hot wire shit to even get it off the lot, give me a holla'.
