Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get one?
I see MK cabs on Ebay ALL the time. I've seen two or three MK cabs in a single search before. You can also check out newsgroups at:
rec.games.video.arcade.collecting
rec.games.video.arcade.marketplace
Also, peep your local arcades for MK2 cabs as well as pool halls and bowling allys. I've seen quite a few MK cabs in pool halls and bowling allys, actually. I'm sure you can strike a deal with those peeps; that's kinda how arcade collecting works, anyways. Just socializing with those who do it, then you'll get hooked up.
The cheapest way - locally, anyways - would be to get the cab and board seperately. Which means you'll have to wire it all upyourself; but if your going to be getting a cabin the first place you should know how to take care of your shit, anyways.
Most local arcades or pool/bowling allys can offer cabs. If not, the guy who runs the machines can direct you to a source. There is a dude where I live who keeps a group of machines working for various people. He's offered meFREE 19" cabs w/o monitor and has directed me to other local sources. You should never pay more than $100 if you're JUST getting a cab, no monitor or wiring. Unless you're getting something bigger than 25".
I think an MK2 cab is going to run around $1000-1500 in a 25" display if you get it all together. Then, remember that shipping is A LOT. They often have to crate that shit, which is a pretty penny. So it's best to try and find it locally.
If you wish I could post a link list of cab and board dealers. Anywho, good luck.
