I've been playing for the past hour and I must say the recon class is a bit weak. Assault has been my favorite thus far.

As for the Battlefield 3 vs Call of Duty argument... should it really be called an argument? Call of Duty is for little kids with unlimited sprint and an OVERPOWERED SMG, and Cry "OMGZZZZ LAGGGGGZZZ" everytime they Die LOL
As for BF3, its for people who want to win as a team, sure you have one those typical people who cry as much as they do if they're playing Call of Duty but its really minor...
I think of the BF vs CoD topic like a Eminem vs Lil Wayne argument....
One is more popular (CoD/Lil Wayne) and is mediocre,
While the other (BF3/Eminem) is just WAYYYY better overall.

I would hope so. The sniper rifles you start off with are not that great tbh. I hit a guy in the chest twice and he does not die. Headshots are pretty much essential to get by the looks of things. Played about two games this morning so not really sure what the hell is going on yet. Also the guns seem to have very heavy kickback (which is realistic so not a complaint) which I struggled with.

As for CoD, not a fanboy at all, but I have found Black Ops to mostly be totally enjoyable once I went to the Hardcore modes. No people running around like crazy. I lag a little at most times, not too bad but I tend to lose out badly when it comes to someone starting to spray at me (even after I hit first). Hardcore removes this problem, plus I can also aim for the biggest part of the body and hit (and kill) even should there be a bit of lag which would cause me to miss a head. KD ratio has been in a positive since.

Something they could easily change that I had a minor issue with in the Beta (and previous Battlefield/ Bad Co games is that the two sides look too similair (Actually in CoD MW2 as well). I understand modern souldiers all have the same sort of kit, bit still. Black Ops did this quite well.

This is my impression from the beta.

I think that it looks to much like the old ones and plays like them as well. Sure the graphics are better, but its still the same game with new maps and different array of guns. I think I'll stick to BFBC2. Bad company is where its at.

As far as the COD vs. BF, there is no argument. I enjoy both games. But really, isnt there enough FPS out there. And it really dosent matter what game you play, people will always use the most powerful gun, character, car, or whatever. And they will whine when you beat them without using any off those things and dont camp in some corner. That's just the world of video games.

I've played the beta little bit. It's my first time playing Battlefield over COD. One of the things I'm not crazy about is the lack of enemies showing up on the radar map. It would help to not repeatedly get ambushed, not a whole lot of fun in that.

Isnt there enough first person shooters, or shooter games for that matter?



and as far as ambushing and not seeing them on your radar, thats how battlefield is played. Supposed to be more realistic, you cant just run out into a war and live in real life. Lol You just have to play it a bit and you wont die so much.

After playing the game a little more, I'm actually considering canceling my pre-order for the game. Graphically the looks amazing, and it is a good change of pace from COD, but I feel the multi-player is very imbalanced. I know it's only a beta, but I have played a number of games where the teams where completely lopsided in ranks (double digit vs single digits). Considering you open better weapons as you rank up, it just seems that there is going to be a huge learning curve for noobs IMO.

Yeah? I never liked my voice I always felt it was too soft plus I've got a bit of a stutter.
