During an interview Monsters and Critics ran with Uwe Boll he was quoted as saying, "We are doing the biggest massacre in the movie right now, so we have five knights in this monastery in Romania right now and a huge battle with like one shot after another where people get killed or cut and half and stuff....for me it was important for me that our movie looked more like Braveheart. Real castles and monasteries, the mountains, etc. The locations make it more realistic and in that atmosphere the brutal fights and a lot of gore, so will be definitely a R rated movie...

Basically BloodRayne is a completely different movie to my previous ones. It is a video game based movie sure, but far more story orientated. I thought it would be good to move the story back and to tell the prequel really. To show how BloodRayne became BloodRayne in the 1700's. A franchise really, so maybe we can move a hundred years into the future for the next one, then later with the game story with the Nazi's and all that stuff, we can do it in part two or part three...

I want to do BloodRayne as really bloody period piece. It makes more sense to tell the whole story also where the Brimstone Society origins are and then we can make that jump to the story that plays in the time of the Nazi's".

Personally I think this movie will suck,I feel bad for the actors and actresses that got con into this movie before they knew who the director was.He saids,Oh I want to do a prequal(can we say another paul anderson). And then he saids he will finally get to the real video game story line in the next 2 or so.I hope this guy never gets to do a video game movie again.

So far I don't like what they have done storywise. To me BloodRayne the movie should have follow the storyline of the game.If BloodRayne is a teenager in BloodRayne 1 in 1935, flash foward tp BloodRayne2 she is around her 70s. If there were to be BloodRayne movie sequels I would like them to take place in current times like BL2 is going to do. Seeing how the movie take place in the 1700s and dhampirs have a 200 year life span how could they if they desided to , to put Rayne like in modern time like 2004, how could they pull that off?. Of course I will wait to see the movie before I can say anything bad about it. From the pics that I've seen, the movie looks ok.Besides killing Nazis, vampires, and demons in BloodRayne 1 was so much fun I would have liked to see that same stuff on the big screen.

I'm not a fan of Bloodrayne, in the sense that I have never played it and know nothing about it. So I can't judge it on being accurate or not, but as a normal movie it's actually looking good to me. I will hold my review until I see the movie myself, though.

Um, Uwe Boll is the degenerate responsible for the House of the Dead movie. Nuff said.

I highly recommend BloodRayne 1 the game. Its fun as hell. You can get lost at times, but still fun. BloodRayne 2 is looking far better.

It's always funny to see people assume that when a director makes a bad movie, it automatically ruins his/her career, and any future projects, no matter how good they are, are automatically panned.

Remember, the director of Robocop and Basic Instinct (2 GREAT movies) also directed Showgirls.

And people say Paul Anderson kills franchises (which is only partially true)... I'm optimistic, but I'm just expecting it to be better than House of the Dead, because, quite frankly ANYTHING is better than House of the Dead. I hope she keeps her blades 'cause, if the movie's set in the 1700s, she won't have her guns, and that's already like Lara Croft in a knife fight. Good, but not shoot-em-up good. Fatality.

Yup, it's true. In BR 1 Rayne was around the age of 18. So it's obvious that this so-called director is just making up stuff off the top of his head. It's also clear that he can't direct worth a squat.
