for those who have borderlands 2 how is maya compared to lilith the siren in borderlands 1. how much damage does the phaselock do. how can you alter the phaselock.

@Rockchalk: The new character isn't out yet, comes out in October. The way it works is if you pre ordered, you can download the new class when it's out for free.

@Acid: Maya is a beast and her Phaselock has 3 distinct paths to go down (as do all the classes). Basically hers are Control - Healing w/ some debuff - Damage. I have no idea how she plays compared to Lilith as I didn't play BL 1 that much.

Lilith's Phasewalk makes her turn invisible and walk a bit faster for a few seconds. You can buff it more by adding some shocking effects going in and coming out of Phasewalk. You can also have your health regenerate when you're using Phasewalk. Or dealing a melee attack during Phasewalk increases the damage by a lot...

I was a Controller Lilith, unlike her other two which were Elemental and Assassin

Her melee attack can be buffed too with a dazed effect... it works well when you're dealing with a bunch of crazed yuppies. This is how I view Lilith, and when I get the game, it'll be easier to decipher if Maya is better or weaker than her... That is if someone already beaten me to it.

As soon as I get my Playstation back, I'm totally playing this game... except, I'm most likely going to get it on Tuesday... which sucks because I'll also get WoW that day too, and I just got back into the game yesterday.

A bug affecting some players of Borderlands 2 is apparently wiping unlocked progress on all platforms. As noted in a 33-page thread on the official Gearbox forums, some players are starting up the game to find Badass Ranks, golden keys, heads, skins and achievement progress reset to zero. Worse still, menus displaying the content or challenges don’t actually reset, meaning the game thinks the content is unlocked even if you don’t have access to it, so you can’t re-earn skins or replay challenges in order to get them back

did anyone get the pirate's booty dlc. it looks cool. kinda waiting for the stuff to drop down since the game itself is 59.99, the mech pack is 9.99, the season pass is 29.99. so that $100 just for that game off steam.

Yeah same here. It looks interesting (I never played the first one), but with the slew of games coming out in the next few weeks that I'm already committing too (Medal of Honor Warfighter, Assassin's Creed 3 and Halo 4), I'm just going wait. Maybe I'll pick it up as a Black Friday deal. It looks pretty cool and there looks to be some really cool Easter eggs (TMNT) as well.
