Hey, im having my bro build me a new computer. All I need is to buy all of the stuff and he will put it together for me. But im a CPU Dummy, I have no idea what goes inside and what are all of the "parts" I will need. So if you guys can get me some links to the manditory parts to run a up-to-date CPU. So gimmi some links to cheap stuff that can make me a pretty cheap GOOD CPU (Around $700 or something)

And also if someone can make a list of all the manditory parts for a computer to run, I would love you :)

Thats fucking cheap, but here's a list of parts for 700$

Corsair Value Select 184 Pin 256MB DDR PC-2700 - OEM- 41$

ASUS nForce 220-D Chipset Motherboard for AMD Socket A CPU, Model "A7N266-VM AA"(AMD Assured Version) -RETAIL - 58.99

Western Digital Special Edition 80GB 7200RPM IDE Hard Drive, Model WD800JB, OEM Drive Only-69.00$

AMD ATHLON XP2400+ - 72.00$

ASPIRE X-DREAMER II Case ATX Mid-Tower - 54.00$

Samsung Black 52X CD-ROM, Model SC-152GEBB, OEM -14.00$

AeroCool UV LED Case fan 80MM, Model "AeroFans-UV-BG-SV" -RETAIL(x2) 14.58$

This is assuming you keep your mouse, keyboard, monitor, and other external things. I added in a case and fans, though. If you have any questions, ask away, but I think I built you a fine system under budget.

First change your topic, a CPU is the brains of a PC. I think you meant PC.

Honestly the cheapest way to go is to buy parts from me, heh.

I just threw in two 74 gig Raptor 10,000 rpm drives and put them in a raid 0 setup for example.

Anyways, good luck and make sure to visit message boards alot. Try AMDMB.com for example.
