I got a new Playstation 2 with 3 games, 8mb mem card, a network adapter, and 2 duel shock controlers. All for $131 (thats shipping included). Looks like its all good to be true... so now I'm wondering... have I been scammed?

heres the link to the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item;=8131396246

The seller signed up yesterday and is selling a lot of these same auctions on ebay right now... with only buy it now and immediate payment thru paypal. I've e-mailed the seller, but haven't had a reply yet.

So does anyone know if this is a scam or not? I'd like to know asap so I can get my money back. Thanks!

It's possible it's a scam, but it sounds more like someone who is in some financial trouble and needs some money quick...

I stopped using ebay cus the scamming was getting pretty bad. It's just based on trust, and of course that gets corrupted. He may not be scamming from u, but u should have known not to buy anything expensive from a low feedback user. But hey, he may have just not been online today...

I don't think it's a scam.... he can get in deep shit 4 scamming people like that...

a lot of people use the Buy it Now feature to get enough money 4 what they sell... and it also stays in there 4 longer...

Also, the only Paypal thing doesn't mean anything... Paypal is much easier and faster... that's why a LOT of seelers nly use paypal...

The price of the console is probably cause he got everything witout taxes and stuff like that... I wouldn't worry too much.... at least 4 now...
I've bougth a SHILOAD of things from e-bay and I have never been scammed... but u gotta make sure t read the feedback the seller has

yah... I guess I was too excited to find something for such a great price (This PS2 is for MKD... as I only have a cube right now... and dont want to wait that long). I've sold and bought many things on there before (my other name on there is remmick2). I've never been scammed before... and sure hope this isn't the first.

I just find it odd that the seller is selling the same 3 games in multiple auctions.

Ebay is NOT a place were scamming runs wild. I, within the passed 4 years being registed with Ebay have NEVER had a bad Transaction.

Heres how I ensure a good and reliable deal.

1) Check what kind of Payment the seller takes. Some people only take Credit Cards. Some Only Paypal. Make sure you read that FIRST before anything.

2) Check where the seller is from. Sometimes its easy to forget to check but this is very important. Sometimes a dude might live and France and you buy something from him then AFTER the auction ends you notice that he lives in France and takes a totally different form of currency than you.

3) Last but certainly not least. Check his Feedback. As you can see this dude whoever you bought this PS 2 pack from has ZERO feedback. Meaning he's a "NOOB" to Ebay. I know everyone on Ebay had to start out somewhere but when you are spending more than $100 on something you HAVE to be cautious. I personally don't buy anything from anyone with 0 Feedback. I've done it before but I don't prefer it. I usually see if the same item is going for a better price with a user than has at least a few positive feedbacks.

So yeah... Ebay is a great place. But you have to think before you bid. It might very well be that this guy fucked you over considering how he has Zero feedback. He may not even know what hes doing. Just gotta be more careful when you deal with complete strangers online.

Very True. I personally don't buy anything from a seller with a rating lower than 98.X%. It's good to go with established sellers too especially power sellers because they do so much buisness on ebay. Bt it can be a double standars as well, they may occasionally loose track of your auction because they got so many other ones to deal with. I thought I was getting scammed from Ebay, becuae I didn't recieve my item with in a 3 weeks. It turned out that my money order got lost in the mail, and ended up being late getting to the seller. Who turned out to be cool about it. Some sellers tend to be pricks wanting there payments within 10 days or threatening to file non payment with ebay.

A funny thing happend to my brothers Ebay accoubt though. It got hacked and someone just ran his account up wth auctions and didn't pay for them. He didn't even know until someone called looking for him wanting to press federal charges for placing bids on auctions and not paying for it. The person bought hugely expesive stuff ( Corvette, a Harley Davidson Motor Cycle, a House, snow blower, a shed, etc.)

I'm sure the majority of us have been scammed once or twice on Ebay (if more than three times, you're an idiot). I only get cheap crap on Ebay. If I want a serious item, I use Ebays sister site (half.com). Give that one a shot next time. Also make sure you give negative feedback on the seller for your safety and the safety of other potential bidders. Once won a bid of over $2k on a motorcycle. I will never do that again, too risky.

Man I've had TONS of bad transactions with eBay, but I still use it....especially with those big sellers...

And DONT deal with canadians
trust me, it's totally a waste of time....
TWO canadians for coincidentally the same item, tried to scam me by saying I never sent the item.... it's all cuz I can't put delivery confirmation on those packages and also delivery time is so slow to canada they automatically assume you didnt send it

You know what's really bad? Is that there are tons of idiots on ebay. I mean people with no brain, literally just like natural senses and instinct.... they see the word IPOD and go BID BID BID BID BID BID BID BID BID BID.

There was an auction that said "4th generation IPOD 40GB"...so the best one there is, and it was real cheap.....it was at over $150 with over 30 people bidding..... not one of them read the description which, in the first line said "You are bidding on an ebook which will guide you on getting an ipod for 1/8th the price of a regular priced one" or something.....god

my dad and i have used ebay to buy many items that are hard to find elsewhere. He signed up over 2 years ago and we have never been scammed. It is possible that your situation could be a scam but i dont think it is.
