I am from Cleveland, and of course I dislike Lebron for what he did to us 2 years ago,but I can't argue that he truly deserved it this year,so congratulations to him. But it ain't gonna be easy for them next year.
So, can people finally shut up about Lebron now? I'm so sick of people trying to compare this guy to Kobe and Jordan. I don't care who the winners of the championship is unless my team is in there... But of course, we rely so heavily on Rose that we lost it in the end.
But still, I really hope this is the end of constantly comparing some guy who won one ring to guys who won so much more.

Its a topic that's fun to discuss, why stop it?

CRAAAAPPP!
I just can't stand Lebron. I feel like his ego just shot up tenfold now. Ah well...
I remember last year when the Dallas Mavericks won, those were good times (not that I'm from Dallas or anything cuz I'm not...*walks away slowly*)

I don't understand Lebron hate. What ego are you guys talking about? The one that was non-existent this entire season?

This.
Granted, we also lost Noah. So those two plus a perpetually wounded Deng combined to sink the Bulls, even if it was so sad to watch them bow out in the first round to the 8th seed Sixers.
Oh well. the NHL draft is tonight. Hopefully Stan Bowman can get the Hawks something they need and maybe even make a GOOD trade or two (for a change).
As for LeBron, I'm sick of all the idiot sports media "the king has his crown" garbage. Way to turn a phrase. I hate the whole "king" thing regardless. Just becuase they guy can play basketball and has probably been shaving since he was ten? Yeah, thanks, but I'll pass on worshiping at the alter of LeBron.
I still think that he's a whiny, flopping, me-first athlete that's so insulated by his teams and his hangers-on that he'll probably never understand why so many people hate him and thought that what he did with the "decision" was one of the most classless acts by an athlete, perhaps ever.
However, I gotta give it to him. Nice win over a good OKC team (even if I'll never understand why the home team has to play 3 straight on the road, oh well, it's the NBA, so ya know, barf).
Hopefully the Bulls are healthy by the end of next year to have a shot at competing. But for right now, the Heat are the best (bought) team in the league. Congrats.
Okay no, seriously. Congratulations.

I used to dislike Lebron... But I never knew why. Dude is a monster and deserves it.
But sad no rings jokes died. I often used them...
But hairline jokes... Will never die.

To be honest I still feel like his career has a large stain on it. He did have to go and create the super team to get his ring. The championship just feels tainted because of this. I really hope Kevin Durant gets a ring or 5 one day. He is a class act. I feel the same way for Blake Griffen.

I mean if Lebron would of gotta a championship with Cleveland that would of been such a greater achievement and he would a lot more respect for it
I mean even if that was the only championship he got he would still be seen as a legend because its not easy to carry a team like that to the championships and win
I mean look at Dr.J, he may only have 1 ring but that means a lot and hes a legend now, though even if he didnt win he would still be a legend for what he did with the dunk and the amazing things hes done

At the moment I find baseball waaaaay more interesting and I need football to come back. Texas Rangers have a chance to go to the big game again this year and I hope they can finish. I dont want them turning out like the buffalo bills. And the Cowboys look solid this year. I think Jason Garrett gets them to the playoffs and might even win a couple games. I'm just tired of the Lebron/Kobe era of basketball. It just doesn't seem as great as the 90s era.

I don't think a great player needs to have a ring to be great. Lebron would go down in history as a great basketball player even if he hadn't won any rings.
I will say he definitely deserved it though. But I think it's bittersweet for Miami. They won, but it will be remembered as Lebron's championship. I was rooting for OKC but congrats to Miami.

No one could win wih a shit team like Cleveland.. And MJ had Pippen and Rodman, Lebron got Wade and Bosh. So yeah he definitely deserves it.

Exactly. Celtics got screwed this year. Officiating when playing against Lebron is terrible (especially in Miami). You just look at him the wrong way and the reffs call a foul. Anyone who thinks he's a clean player just watch game 7 of the semi-finals against the Celtic. Where Lebron deliberately kneed Rondo in the back. The guy is a POS IMO but I guess he can sleep better at night now knowing he's finally won a Championship.

The problem is he was hyped as the second coming of Michael Jordan. He's expected to deliver on championships. I remember hearing MJ did an interview and was asked if, in pertaining to LJ, if you need a championship to be considered a great player or make the hall of fame, and Jordan's response was I don't know, go ask Charles Barkley.

Funny you bring up the celtics getting screwed by officiating when everyone and there DAMN MOTHERS know that the bullshit officiating is the only reason he celtics beat my hawks. It's all about ratings, and all about the more popular team getting what they want. The little teams never get shit because of officiating or some other fiasco.
