Honestly, I think it's got some potential, for 1vs1 and team. Item control is accented by decent movement and the items don't seam to distract to much. Critical Dodge seams to have some uses; juggles, guard break, set-ups, etc.
I'm also digging how one can buffer the charge in multiple fashions. Being able to cancel jumps is nice; though, usefull I don't know yet. I suppose there are ways of abusing high priority ariels and cancel, but whatever. Except for charging up on the run, nothing practicle has been brought to my attention; I'm sure that will change, though.
I've tried to get a jump-cancel dash going, even tried it for a while on stick, but it doesn't seam to be coming out "efficiently" yet. -_- Also, in general, there seams to be some decent movement options as I said before. Though, at the moment these options seam to benifit the already "speedy" characters that have less start-up and recovery. Seams as though speed is going to kill in this game.
I say that becuase the blocking system is kinda wonky. Like, player A can block player B's move which produces guard break, then certain player B's can get FREE LAUNCHERS 0_0. But, player A can take that same move in the face, then cancel their recovery with a simple block? Yeeaaahhhh, interesting. Actually it is interesting and works out pretty well for the most part. At least it seams that way at the moment.
I doubt it will be a tourny game, lol, even though it probably could be. Especially when you consider the ballance, or lack there of, that Capcom fighters have had these past years. It does wet the whistle, though. I just wish it was a little darker, stylisticaly. A fairy wand, WTF 0_o. The four play may get a bit...random, at times. Which bothers me, but whatever. I also whish the moves list was a little deeper, but eh.
Your thoughts?
Not too interested. Didn't really like the first two that much.

But this game, I've been extremely interested in. If I saw it for rent, I would have done so by now. Looks like a game I'd very likely buy, too.

Yeah exactly. Besides what's the big deal? At least he's not typing "Ryu is Cool" after every post.

Well, for those who give a shit, here's a thread I started on SRK discussing OBW.

Jonin:
I seriously think you should at least check into it, if you are indeed interested. It seams to have decent ballance between a traditional fighter and a party game. It's pretty fun, especially if you have friends, lol.
Hyuga:
Dude, I infact like Mayo on my sandwich.
Sazabi:
Rock is sweet in OBW! That little bitch can sure move for being a midget. BTW, you're aTZ regular, aren't you? Nice to see youon MKO.
No special name edited MK signature, but hey.... I don't give a f00k.
