I think I remember reading that the quality was pretty bad and not worth it. Maybe not though.

That's what I've read as well. I'm holding out for better picture quality. Wasn't the current version released prior to WB acquiring MK? I would hope they intend on releasing a better version. I'm think a release to coincide with MK9's release might be too soon though.
I'm hoping they are just waiting to see how well this new game does and then go from there.

I've read on several AV forums that the PQ and SQ are no better than the DVD. Hold off for a proper US release.
I'm also hoping that with the new game coming out that we get MK on Blu-ray.
Off topic: Hey New Line Cinema..how about the Blade Trilogy getting released on Blu-ray sometime soon. Please.
