Does anyone know what Johnny Cage's original name was supposed to be?

I was told by someone on here YEARS ago (like just before Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance) that Johnny Cage was originally gonna be named something else. Does anyone know what it was? I remember Jax was originally planned to be named Stryker...

I think MK Bible says something like Mike Grimm. That's a horrid name..

I don't know if this is what you're after, but I know that John Carlton is his real name and Johnny Cage is his stage name.
