- Is Pharell Williams incapable of writing intros?

I don't know that I'd look at it quite as harshly as the original article, but the soundcloud audio of 13 Pharell song intros is pretty conclusive evidence.

Any Pharell fans in the house? Have you noticed this?

I haven't listened to enough of his music to have any first-hand impression. I'm kind of amazed I haven't at least heard of this before. It isn't subtle at all, and if this article's to believed, it's repeated several times on a single album. Kind of amazing (in a trivia sense, more than anything).

Had to check, but my God, it's true.
He did alot of songs on Madonna's Hard Candy from which you can add; Candy Shop, Beat Goes On, Heartbeat, She's Not Me, Incredible, Ring My Bell & Spanish Lesson to that list from that album.

I still like him, I guess it's his "thing". Possibly his "RedOne!" or "Darkchild!" tag equivalent perhaps.

I used to be a big Pharrell fan awhile back and I will agree, he does repeat himself a lot. I think he does it on purpose as some sort of signature. I think it's contrived, but ehh, I dig it.

Also, it's strange how popular he became recently considering he's been around for over 10 years now.
