Evo 2014 Discussion

posted09/21/2013 07:41 PM (UTC)byWe're on a forum dedicated to fighting games. A certain one in particular. With it being a year away, and so many fighting games on the horizon, what do you guys think is coming this way?
Killer Instinct, Soul Calibur 2 HD, Super Smash Bros. For 3DS/Wii U, and a crapton of Indie games are coming to the fighting game world in the next year.
Personally, I would like to see Smash Bros. on BOTH platforms. With the recently announced 2DS opening so many more people to already existing and upcoming games, I think it will become a staple in gamign. The only problem I see is streaming the portable version. I don't have any idea how they could do that. BUT, I still would enjoy it, and would even be willing to participate if I could make a trip to Evo.

ultra sf4 pops into my mind. like to see how the sf x tekken characters will be improved and tweaked for ultra sf4. plus evo is sf.
gulty gear 3rd x looks promsing to. really digging the art style. hoping to see it at evo.
blazblue is another 1 im looking forward to. hope its at evo. the new characters look promising.
maybe an update on darkstalkers, capcom vs snk, bloody roar, sc, among many other fighting games that haven't had a game in a while would be fantastic. even if its a screenshot or video, announcement.

Ultra Street Fighter 4 is pretty much a given. I don't see SF X Tekken making it. Most of the EVO community thinks the game is garbage and it only lasted 1 year on the tournament.
Personally I would love to see Killer Instinct and Soul Calibur 2 HD. EVO would definitely help keep interest in KI until Round 2 gets released. I think it'd also be nice to see Injustice make it in for a second year. It would help cement NRS as a top fighting game developer.

I don't mean to bump/double post, but some relevant info. The EVO 2014 trailer has been released: EVO 2014 trailer. Interesting note all games will be played on Xbox unless the game is a PS or Nintendo exclusive.
