Really the movie is good? i thought it would suck just like all the other movies out but i think i might go and see it im for sure going to see Hero though

The first movie is way better..

The plot could have used some work, but I think overall it did a good job of explaining the origin of the Exorcist. There was some truly disturbing and gory imagery in it! There were several parts that I watched with my hands over my mouth, and movies don't generally affect me that way! The last one to do that was Jeepers Creepers.

I don't mean to be rude, but did you watch Jeepers Creepers with you hand over your mouth?
I thought that movie was boring and a waist of anyone's time, but I get the message. Exorcuist the beginning should be pretty gory....sounds like my kind of movie

I guess I should have added that to my first post. I realize that Jeepers Creepers was not all that great of a movie, but for some inexplicable reason, I was totally freaked out and disgusted by it. There was something about that guy that really got to me. I'm not really sure why; maybe it was because I watched it in the theatre, or just my mindset that night. Horror movies generally don't affect me at all (with a few very notable exceptions). As far as disturbing imagery goes, though, Exorcist: The Beginning was worse (in my opinion).

If theres any vomitation of the pea-soup products, I'm sold!

Well if you wanna see a little 8 year old boy get mauled to death by Hyenas....or see an African-tribal warrior smash a tomahawke into a guys face *really gory* or even see a little girl get shot int head by a nazi...then this is the movie for you!

It wasn't that bad of a movie. The original Exorcist is still better/scarier. It does a job job letting us know the past orgins. The movie dragged alot and the ending made up for it when we see the "demon possenion" for the final part of the film. Overall 4 out of 5.

I'm going to see it today. I guess I'm trying not to be too excited because I don't wanna come out of it pissed. But atleast I have been warned, because my stomach isn't too friendly with horror movies. Haha.

Judging from the reviews it should be really bad. However, I am a big Stellan Skarsgard fan so I will see it anyway just for that. You should see the first Exorcist movie for some REAL scares. It together with the very first Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie are IMHO the two best horror flicks of our time.

Well, I just saw it. And to be honest....IT WAS PRETTY DAMN GOOD! I jumped I don't know how many times. Exorcist:TB definately is the second best of the series. Compared to this, Exorcist's 2 and 3 look like a pile of shit.

Yes. They were unbelievably bad (and not like "B-movie goodness bad", either).

It was alot better than I expected it to be. but still was't THAT great. The parts with the obeisly Speical Effects Hyenas was kinda stupid.

NONTHING touches the original Exorcist.

Yeah, they must have hired the same CG effects team who did the obviously special effects wolves from The Day After Tomorrow.

And you're right. Nothing can get close to the original.
