I really find it hard to choose a single favorite band; it really depends on what type of music I'm in the mood for. I'll just list a few.
Hatebreed
Slayer
In Flames
Sick of it All
Bleeding Through
Eighteen Visions
Death By Stereo
Pennywise
Bad Religion
Lately I've been listening to All Out War a lot; I got one of their CDs a couple weeks ago, and it kicks ass. If you haven't heard of All Out War, I think the best way to describe them is, imagine a Slayer side project featuring a member or two of Hatebreed, with harsh screaming vocals, and lyrics that have perhaps a few too many references to the Bible, especially Rthisthingisdisabledations (mainly about priests and politicians being cast into flames). Only thing that sucks is it's a little repetitive, both in lyrics and musical formula. But, if you like hardcore and metal, check them out.

I thought I was the only one that listened to them! Although I wouldn't call them "favorite". I have so many. I guess if it boils down to what band have I been listening to the longest, it would have to be Skinny Puppy.
