Ok a few things caused me to make this thread:

a) I'm bored

b) We havn't done this in a while (genre's in general, NOT favorite movies)

c)The main reason. I've recently started taking a Development of Fillm class, and the book for the class really got me thinking. It ranges from the late 30's to today's filmaking and pretty much lists every style imaginable over that time period.

With that said mine would have to be any form of Film Noir; whether it be the classic 1940's detective films to modern Neo-Noir films like Reservoir Dogs. The reason being is that the films are rather dark (literally and figurativly) and for the most part the charecters are mostly villians and anti-heroes; no pure heroes in these films.

Now I don't expect everyone to have a detailed genre, so you can keep it simple if you want.
