You can't go wrong with "The Evil Dead" trilogy. Hail to the King.

Hear hear.
I was planning Maniac Cop, followed by Mystics of Baali.

I came across Lady in a Cage. An interesting excursion into sixties "psycho-biddy" horror. There's a killer hoodlum who's particularly memorable.
A bunch of gratuitous horror movie references in the MKO Halloween Top 10 posted earlier. Looking at the horror dynamics that exist in some obvious (and not so obvious) MK characters. A few of the Halloween movie favourites name checked in this thread get a mention.

The Addams Family and Addams Family Values. It's not exactly horror, but I like the macabre theme and the satire of the American family. The cast was excellent and I didn't bother with the third one that was direct to video.
Funny thing, I was freaked out by the first film as a kid by the trailer in theaters until I watched a VHS at my aunt's house.
I also used to have a book which had the cartoons in which the family was in that Charles Addams drew.

Carrie, the original. All the other remakes and that horrible sequel that I couldn't even sit through will never be as awesome as this. The recently new remake of the movie just sucked, and I didn't see it, I just saw the prom scene and laughed at how stupid it looked. The original was just awesome.
Halloween 4. This movie always is on so I watch it. I kinda wished that they would have done what they were going to do with this series and have each and every movie be completely different from one another. But of course that didn't work too well when you have a sequel after the first following by a third that has nothing to do with Meyers and then going back to him. It would have been kind of cool to have a Halloween series where every movie is different. But still, this one is my favorite out of the bunch... And there's the Rob Zombie versions, which are good as well.
Speaking of that, Devils Rejects. It's just creepy.
And last but not least, Alien. Just Alien, not the sequel, not the cubed, and DEFINITELY not the horrible shitty resurrected one. Just Alien. Because that movie did everything right.

I've been watching a whole collection of horror movies to get myself in that Halloween spirit. I marathon'd the Friday the 13th series and remembered why I hated every single one past Part 2. I watched The Blair Witch Project for the first time in a while and it's basically unwatchable to me now.
The biggest surprise for me was Event Horizon which I hadn't watched until now. If you can excuse some horrifically bad CGI early on it was surprisingly entertaining and disturbing. Kind of like if you fused the original Alien with the video game story line of Doom. Not bad at all and I'm not upset I watched it.
Of course my favorites are still George A. Romero's Dead series and the original Halloween.

Easily Rob Zombie's best movie. So good.
Watched Death Proof on IFC last night. Underrated movie.
Will probably get into some kind of weird mashup of the best Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw movies this week. Can't go wrong with the classics.

I've been watching AMC a lot for Frightfest horror movie marathons. I'm still waiting for my anticipated Ash Vs. Evil Dead tv series on Starz on Halloween night at 9:00.
some of the films I've been watching are
Omen films
Amityville Horror
Childs Play
Friday The 13th
Nightmare On Elm Street
Halloween
Creepshow
few other ones I've been watching marathons of.
There are 2 Horror movies I really want to see but I either got wait until they go to Netflix or just buy them on dvd. Tales Of Halloween and The Green Inferno. Both look really good, if anyone here's scene them are they good as they look.

I got roped into Addams Family Values and Beetlejuice.
Horror-comedy? I don't care. I had fun and I'm above your laws "Mick-Lucifer".

I watched the original House on Haunted Hill. Some camera angles in that movie are still pretty effective to me and scare me a little. Especially the window scene.
