That's the advantage of countries that have more than just two parties. You're not forced to pick the lesser of two evils. You have your choice of 4-5 different evils !

Sorry for being off-topic, but today was the opening of "Place de la Roumanie" (The Romanian Plaza) in Montreal. It's in a little crap-box park because they were too dumb to find a better location. It also has a "statue" of Mihai Eminescu, Romania's national poet. It's the most HIDEOUS statue you'll ever see...
Well, Ion Iliescu, the "president" of Romania was supposed to come and say something. (If you want to know why I hate that bastard so much, read the threads "International Politics" by xcarnagex and "Tell me about your country" by VainQueur)
However, there was an anti-Iliescu demonstration exactly where the ceremony was held. People were holding up all sorts of signs denouncing that asshole Iliescu and his acolytes. I went to the spot where the demonstration was taking place and took a sign, and started chanting anti-Iliescu slogans and booing whenever Iliescu and his government were mentioned. It was fuckin' awesome. Iliescu didn't even come out of his limo anymore and his whole convoy of cars left in a hurry while us demonstrators were yelling at them and flipping the birds. Just like a rat that was afraid to come out of his hole beacuse he knew we'd stomp on him.

The whole Bush on drugs thing has been around for a few years. I believe it. It runs through the family. Remember the Bush Twins and Laura Bush? I am an independent also so I don't like either party. For the past few decades we have had real weak leaders who should not have had been our president or in our goverment. Both candidates are poor leaders in my eyes but I would have to choose Kerry over Bush. I am surprised that everywhere I go people seem to favor Kerry over Bush but I heard somehow Bush is ahead in the polls. Is he going to steal this one too? Sorry for going off topic but I need to get this off my chest.

Personally, what surprises me is that so many people I know are voting for Bush. I'm the only person in my family, to my knowledge, that lives in New Jersey and is voting for Kerry (most of my mom's side of the family probably is too, but they live in Connecticut). A lot of the regular customers at the liquor store where I work are voting for Bush, even a few people I know from school. NJ used to be a sure win for Kerry, now it's a swing state.

I just get tired of all the bull shit that's tossed our towards Bush. Clinton is a big Kerry supporter, and I don't hear anybody talking about Clinton screwing up, or Kerry for that matter. My dad was a pothead, and a huge druggy when he was younger, but I don't go around telling everyone that so they will end up hating him. I just think it's wrong to bring up someone's past just to hurt them. Now, like I've said before and I'll say it again, go ahead and throw shit at me, I've taken enough on this site and I can take more. And about Clinton's draft-dodging, Bush's service in the National Guard is no more commendable, especially considering the fact that he supported the Vietnam War. Clinton opposed it, so at least he was consistent.

And which is worse: the lie that gets a president his knob polished, and costs the taxpayers the salary of an intern (not counting Ken Starr's $50 million porn book); or the lie that gets 1000 American soldiers and at least 10,000 Iraqi civillians killed, and costs the taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars?
