Holy shit man that's foul. I had a bad one too, tho not that bad, but Norton couldn't delete it and it was in quite a few registry keys that would respawn every time I turned on my PC.
I downloaded a program called 'HIJACKTHIS'. What that does is quickly scans ur computers 'Registry Files'. There are a few forums where you go and post your 'HIJACKTHIS Log' and people will tell you what to do. But this is only if you have that type of virus.
I really don't know what else to tell you, I think the site that helped me the most was computercops.biz...
May the Force be with you..

You need antivirus that runs under the OS. Otherwise, try to get your files on some media, reinstall, load antivirus, download updates, bring back files, run anti virus on them...

I would recommend pulling your files and reinstalling. It seems to be the safest way without proffessional virus removal programs.

Norton is kinda crap when it comes to removing viruses i had it then removed it as it didn't detect or remove a virus i had gotten even tho it was uptodate, i now use AVG there is a pay version 7.0 but there is also a free version 6.0 it doesn't have as many features as 7.0 but it does come with free updates, unlike norton which only has free updates for a limited time, AVG needs you to have a valid E-mail addy because they send you the progs serial number through email and you wont be able to install it without it. AVG fixed the problem i had and i didn't have to do a re-install which i would have with norton. give it a try it may work, tho it does depend on how bad the infection is, and you may need to do a re-install after all. the link for AVG is below.
