Hello, Methuselah! I've been going around here since 2007, but only about early 2011 I found out there are forums on MKO! I joined shortly afterwards.

I remember when I was around 4 years old, my dad and uncles were playing Mortal Kombat: Trilogy on the Playstation 1 and they let me try my hand at defeating them. Exceeding all their expectations, I did so. They said I used Scorpion. They also said I played MK1 as well, but I do not remember. I've been an MK fan for pretty much all my life.

I have been an avid gamer since 3 years old. First game might've been Duke Nukem 3D on the PC. Many games have been bought and played, PS2 collection is over 70 games right now, but I'm sure that is nothing compared to some others' collections.

Every game since Deadly Alliance was bought, got the Deception Premium Edition that included MK1, Shaolin Monks has MKII. Reacquired MK4, obtained the Armageddon Premium Edition with UMK3. MKvsDCU was purchased as well. Acquired MK 2011 at the midnight release at my local Gamestop and I've improved greatly in the art of Kombat since then..

Hiiiii. First Mortal Kombat game I've ever owned is the most recent one. Beaten only Shaolin Monks and this one. Not the biggest fan of MK. This one and SM are my favorites. Name is Murcielago, people call me Murc or Murcie. Nice to meet ya.

Anywho this all sounds great! I am surprised by the many different minds that come to this site or are in general fan's of the series.. I Guess the series really is very diverse in its own way...

So lets see what else can I ask here.... Well I suppose the next big question is how much of a fan are you to the series? Some of you have been following and are faithful to the series for a very long time! So the question should be honestly is it something you hide as more of a secret hobby or is it something you like everyone to know about?

Personally everyone who meets me knows about my obsession "and yes it is an obsession" with this series.. From the giant posters in my apartment, to the action figures and comic books i display...really its not a easy thing to not notice in meh home.. Girlfriend (both current and past) all have known and accepted the fact that i am 100% loyal to this series.. I have even attempted to drag some into it...but most don't find much ...sept the recent girlfriend who actually did enjoy the story mode and does help me with whatever information she can about the games...

Oh right, your looking for information! That I can divulge.

I'm a 22 year old guy, studying Costume Construction for Film and Theatre and working part time in my local thai takeaway. Kinda a huge Batman, Resident Evil and Mortal Kombat fan, to the point that my wardrobe has some action figures and collector's edition books and comics on the top of it for presentation.

I'm a Virgo, my lady friends would describe me as a feminist (but personally I'd vouch for equality for everyone, not just women), my favourite animals are cats and wolves, and I'm born and raised here in Dublin. I'm also one of those fabled homosexuals who enchant men with mermaid songs and promises of eternal life.

I got interested in MK years ago, I think I was 2 or 3 at the time. I can remember my sisters had Mortal Kombat 1 on the SNES and I'd watch them play it, they'd let me challenge them and I'd throw a strop if I lost lol. From there I'd just start playing it on my own and drawing the characters. Mortal Kombat is arguably the sole reason I got into Costume Design, for had it not played it's influence on my style of art I'd have never pursued a career designing costumes (the suits and costumes of the characters over the years always fascinated me, I'd remake and redesign them constantly). The only one I've never played is MK4, but I've had just about every other MK since (Even MK: Mythologies).

Oh, and I love Catwoman. She's cool. I also have a habit of collecting vitamins and skin creams, I have two tattoos (one on each shoulder blade) and my favourite cologne is Armani He.

My level of commitment to this series is high. I'm not obsessed, but I did own every entry of the series (except for Special Forces). I lost my copy of MKM: Sub-Zero and Shaolin Monks. Both due to idiots. One a thief the other....well stuck in his ghetto ways which lead to my game getting stolen.

I'm not very good at any of the games compared to some, but I'm thoroughly interested in the lore and, as of MK9, the gameplay. Characters have grown on me, but have regressed due to the rebooting of the timeline. They must be built again.
