Good Kinect games ?

Ok, so I got a Kinect for Christmas after being very unsure if it would be the right thing for me since I am a "hardcore" gamer (I suppose) and Kinect is for kids and "casuals" according to most. But I gotta say it is a load of fun. Can see many a braai (BBQ to you guys) involving a few games of Kinect at my place in the future, probably with some beers/shots being downed by the loser.

So what I want is recomendations from you guys of games I should get. Which titles do you own or have you played at a friends?

(I obviously got the Kinect Adventures game with it and then it came with download codes for Fruit Ninja and The Gunstringer)

Dance Central is the best game to play with a group people.
Non-Kinect games included as well. No alcohol required.

I heard Child of Eden is a great experience as well.

Thanks. Dance Central 2 is one I am definitley considering, only thing is that I am a rock/metal/hard rock guy so I won't enjoy the music that much. That's where the booze comes in I guess grin

that fable game that is coming out on the kinect looks pretty sweet. you should check it out if your into rpgs.

also rise of nightmares like the person above me stated. looks pretty cool.

DON'T get Rise of Nightmare.
Looks are deceiving.
It's pretty much all around terrible.

Both Dance Centrals are good, Gunslinger I hear is good. Later on there will be a fable rails shooter type game, and also star wars that looks promising.
Furthermore there's normal games that use kinect anyways for voice commands, like halo anniversary,. Ghost Recon will be coming out too with huge Kinect support, and it looks pretty sweet imo.

Shot guys. I was already looking into Rise of Nightmares but to be honest it is not the type of game I will get on Kinect. I see Kinect as a famliy/friends fun type experience so I will mostly pick up the more lighthearted titles.

Fable: The Journey (as I think it will be called) is definitley one I will look at as Fable 2 was one of the only games I could actually get my gf to enjoy.

Think I will go with one of the Dance Centrals and then a sports title.

In Kinect Sports, try throwing the javelin underhanded...you'll bust records left and right That, along with turning around when playing, makes for some hilarious avatar animations.

another game you might be interested is ufc trainer i think. you work out like a ufc fighter and i also think you can sparr. not sure though. it looks pretty good. hope that helps.

I agree. It seems to be THE most responsive game I have played so far.

I got Kinect Sports Season1 now. Very cool. Season 2 was sold out everywhere. Heards it's not as good as season 1 though?
