What do you recall being the Greatest sports moment ever. For me it would have to be the 1986 world cup in Mexico when Maradona scored that nice goal against England. Soccer History was made on that day.

Last season's Stanford vs Arizona college basketball game

the half court buzzer beater to keep Stanford undefeated with only 5 on the clock was just unbelievable

Since I'm a hockey guy, I'm gonna say the Miracle on Ice, when the USA beat the Soviets in 1980.

Well, I would have to say when the Braves won the 1995 World Series. That's all I can really remember as "being the greatest sports moment", because I was pretty young at the time.

yes, i know it's "sports entertainment" but I am a big fan of wwe, well atleast what it used to be, so I would have to say when The Rock challenged Hollywood Hogan to a match at Wrestlemania X8 on RAW. The two have never met in the same ring, eye to eye... ever!!! The two icons of professional wrestling's past and future met for the first time in history. It was an exciting showdown and as the mixed crowd chanted both their names, it just absolutely brought goosebumps as soon as hogan accepted. And at wrestlemania X8 it was very exciting to see that no matter how much fame you have nowadays with the younger fans, any wrestling fan will tell you that there is no better than Hollywood Hulk Hogan, not even the rock. the crowd just booed the rock constantly and cheered on hogan everytime he layed a smack on the rock. And that's that Hogan played the role of the "bad guy" in this match. It was an exciting moment in wrestling history to see the two absolute greatest wrestlers this sport had to offer go head to head. although hogan lost, it was my all time favorite. The Rock and Hulk Hogan fought once again the very next year at WWE's No Way Out 2003.

Brazil beating Germany in the final of 2002 soccer world cup. Only a few brazilians thought, at the beggining of the World Cup, that Brazil could win it... Brazilian soccer was very unbelieved in 2000-2002.

That was an amazing game. Especially the part where Rivaldo faked the ball, let passed its legs, allowing Ronaldo to score.

every home-run record broken has been marred by controversy of steroids

football has its fair-share of scandal as well

Jordan bastardized his legend by retiring and returning many more times than he should have... and the state of the NBA right now is just disgussting

I'm as big a wrestling fan as the next, but'sports-entertainment' is scripted, and that takes away some of the drama and grandeur of it. The Rock vs Hogan match was definitely great, but the legacy was marred at No Way Out, with a rematch that didn't come close to capturing the electricity... also when Brock Lesnar was allowed to beat both wrestlers.

I don't follow hockey ...or soccer

sad

Sorry to bring back bad memories, but I'm a Giants fan, so for me it was wonderful. Can't take anything away from the Bills, though. It was one hell of a Super Bowl, and that kick could've gone either way. I'm scarred for life by the embarassment that was Super Bowl XXXV *takes a hard strong drink while remembering the horror*
