Halo 2 Discussion! Anticipation awaits!

I know were all excited about Halo 2!

Who wouldnt be? this game is basically a clone of the last, with more kick ass features and extremely smooth online play.

The Duel Weilding aspect is something I'm really looking foward two, and weapon storage, making four weapon storage possible. If anyone has played madness interactive, you might want to play Rayne (a matrix spinoff with duel weilding)

Also, bigger multiplayer levels, and (DUN DUN DUNNN) Vehicle destruction. Something that will surely make gameplay more enjoyable, rather than just getting ran over by Ghosts, you can try to blow them up.

The online play will feature, instead of listing any and all games available, a playlist - letting you choose what type of game you want to play (weapons, vehicles, levels) and select your type of match. the server will match you up as best it can with another game the meets those requirements. It will also place you into a group depending on what connection you have, dial-up, DSL, Adelphia; this should stop lag by a substantial amount.

Those are just some of the good points. Im planning on seeing you guys online when it hits stores.

If you want, you can post your Halo 1 online name and maybe I'll see you there. Im gonna get Halo this weekend and I'll be rightfully named...Nizzim.

From what I've seen and read its the same as Halo 1 only with another gun.

Never did like Halo in the first place. It alwyas left me thinking: Man I miss Perfect Dark.

yeah halo its interesting.. give me a ww2 game.. give me real weapons.. not a 'needler'.. and perfect dark left me thinking man i miss Goldeneye..

I just hope they either don't include the Banshee in multiplayer, or they SERIOUSLY tone it down. It was a smear weapon in HaloPC, since people would just fly low on the ground and mow down everyone in their path, ringing up between 5-10 frags in a single pass...

Of course, the new vehicle destructibility would hopefully remedy much of that, but unless you have a rocket launcher or fuel rod, you really can't do much against an incoming Banshee.

Vehicle-jacking should be interesting, but I'm not sure how easy it'll be to do. Most people don't just sit around in vehicles or move slowly. They're usually going full-burn, and I'm curious to see how you can take over vehicles like that...

I'm really looking forward to dual wielding weapons. Charged plasma pistol, shields gone, use the sub-machine gun to finish the job... Bliss. grin

I'm also quite excited to try out the battle rifle, looks incredibly awesome. I love precision weapons.

I hate Halo. I hate it I hate it I hate it! It is so boring. Everyone is so hyped for Halo 2, which will be more of the same. Well atleast what Halo fans like is being expanded on so hooray for Halo fans, halo 2 is coming. As for me, I could care less.

I don't really hate the game, but I don't care for it either. The only thing that I've ever heard anyone talk good about was the multiplayer mode. I've never ever seen anyone amped about the entire game, which I also think is boring... oh well.

But back to the subject.

though online play may lack in strategie, it makes up for that in fun factor. Play Capture The Flag (CTF) on the Blood Gulch level and you'll understand.

this game is totally awesome online, the campaign mode got boring in the first because it was so repeadative. But I'm sure this one wont disappoint. Just go to Gamespot and watch the E3 coverage video that takes place on an awesome level, Zanzibar. That is all

Already have it on preorder, with the first Halo at first I thought it was overrated. After playing it for awhile I grew to love the game, I can't wait till Halo 2 comes out. It's just a great way of forgetting about work, stress, and problems of everday life just like any other game. The news of the ATVs being dropped isn't much of a disappointment seeing as bungie said they weren't really fun to play with. The brute shot is the weapon I'm most looking foward to. All in all this game is shaping up to be the best of 04'

In the E3 demo they were there, you mean they dropped them? thats sucks, I hope they have like floating motor bikes.

The Warthogs were a staple of Halo, and they're definitely in there. The rocket hogs from the PC version are in as well...

Shingo, In gamespot they said you can shoot the fuel cells of the vehicles to stop them, which would solve both of those problems.

The new warthog has more of a cannon than a rocket. It should be easier to hit people with it. It also has a horn and an e. brake. grin

Am I the only one here who's actually played it? If so, cool! People saying it will disappoint couldnt be more wrong actually. Its brilliant. I only played a 60% or so finished version but it is already a VERY solid game! If anyone wants more info ill post it in here!

From what I've seen at the E3 multiplayer walkthrough, the rocket Warthog was displayed, and the cannon on the back shared the same properties as the hand-held rocket launcher...

...unless there's another one I haven't seen...
