Next generation? Is it that time already?

There truly isn't much to discuss about yet. I'm inclined to bet it will be something unlike any of the current fighting games. We won't get to see new fighting game franchises all that often so this could be a thing to keep an eye on.

Hopefully not another cash cow. Harmonix is talented generally. As a thread this is more of a heads-up for people's awareness and of course a place for discussion.

Wii U is next-gen and it's already behind the corner; that one in the distance with the number "2013" in it. It's funny how long a lifespan this generation had: Xbox 360 was released in 2005 and – this is something that sorta amazes me – Need For Speed: Most Wanted was a launch title for the console but now they are rebooting the game for the same system! It's from a different developer though, but still.

They said that Death Cargo was going to be the next game to be MK's competitor... and look what happened with that!

When there's more information about this game, I'll be a bit more interested.

Looks good, this with kinect would be totally jizzworthy.

Right but that came from a small aspiring studio from Italy with little-to-no experience whereas Harmonix is an efficient, balanced studio with a lot of employees. I don't think it's going to be exactly a contender to MK in the way Street Fighter is though – more like another competitor. We'll see.

We will need to practice jizzing in the meanwhile so we'll handle it by then!
