When i was out with my dad Bike Riding we had our fun you know then we came home and my bro is not in the compute hes usally on so i know something happend. He told me that he went to Yahoo and put "South Park" and there were this little wrestiling figureres of them so m bro clicked on it ,bad choice. The computer started to show Porno like pictures of it and it aoutomatically dissconected. We couldnt be in the computer for like 2 weeks it was a nightmare no Internet no MKO!.We finally got it fixed and we continued with our normal lives. And for making sure that will neer happens again we got a forewall and our Anti-Virus program upgraded.

Once my email address was used to send out hundreds of porno-advertising emails. I don't know how they got my address, and I obviously never authorized anything like that. It fucked up my computer for a while; I had AOL at the time, and all my family's passwords were somehow changed. We had to call the AOL help line to get it fixed.

Also, I used to have a web page. At one point someone kept hacking it and changing shit on it.

Anyone who's been here during the late gamers.com days should know that my AIM, hotmail, and a few geocities accounts have been "hacked" into in the past. Memories...

Yeah, and I can still remember the thread's subject:

"It was the Fatass who hacked my accounts!" or something like that tongue

Oh yea, another incident, I don't think I was "hacked" but it's a great story...

Few years back (when I had AOL) someone (I don't remember how, but I knew who it was, it was a guy named Rob) somehow re-created my SN for AIM as a non-AOL user. Anyway, one day I had a friend named Mike over at my house, and he went on AOL under his SN, and- surprise- MY SN, which I obviously wasn't using at the time, was said to be online on his buddy list. Then Mike got an IM from "me," (on AOL, at least at that time, it might have changed, if a non-AOL user IMs you a box will pop up asking if you want to accept the message or not, but for an AOL user the message will go right through) and it said "Hi Mike." And Mike typesw in "Hi Rob." And Rob types "What? No, this is Jason." (That's me.) And Mike types "No, I'm at Jason's house right now, he's sitting right next to me." Mike and I were laughing our asses off, and I don't remember exactly what happened after that but I don't think Rob used my SN anymore.

But anyway, I'm really not that well-educated on "hacking" and such, so I still don't know how Rob did that exactly. Can anyone knowledgeable on this topic fill me in?

Nah, I've always been pretty well protected against these sorts of things.

I did however get infected by the CIH/Chenobyl virus a few years ago. It wiped the computers' CMOS/BIOS chip and couldn't be booted. The computer had to be sent back to the manufacturer for the chip to be replaced. That sucked!

A friend also did use BackOrifice on me when that first come out. That was before BackOrifice2k tho. Luckily it was a friend, and after that I have always been well protected...
