HELP: Laptop Battery

I got problem my laptop battery. My little brother been using laptop for couple months because his laptop broke but he been leaving it on changer when it up to 100% for long time and now 3 hour battery only last for 1 hour now. Is there anything I can do fix it or has that son of bitch cost me money to get replacement one?

You might need to get a replacement. sad Either that, or figure out a way to not use as much power to make it last.

What kind of laptop is it?

Or even better, what is the type of battery? The more detail the better.

Yeah, it can fuck up battery. If you going do that then do what (erik) does

Tryed that by changeing power plan but no luck. It sucks because I was hoping use it on train to london on 22nd july but that might be out window now.

Laptop is sony vaio ns series and battery is VGP-BPS13/B.

I found this on eBay. I'm not entirely sure, but it looks way cheaper than looking to the manufacturer for a new battery. Plus there's a one year warranty, and free shipping.

I don't know if this works with laptop batteries, but it does with cell phone batteries: unplug the AC power source and let the battery run out of juice completely. THEN charge it.

I need a new battery myself. My laptop battery lasts no less than 5 minutes if I unplug it. Seriously. What a crummy battery. Sometimes I can' t even power the computer down in time before it just quits on me.
