There is a new movie starring Jet Li coming out soon called "Hero". I just saw a trailer for it on TV, it looks pretty good. And it's produced by Quentin Tarantino. The battle scenes shown instantly reminded me of Iron Monkey, which I thought was great. And that was also produced by Mr. Tarantino.

Anybody else heard anything about it?
Yeah, it looks cool. I think there is or was already a thread about that movie.

It's not a new movie. It's been out for a couple of years, and we're just now getting a translated version.

It's not produced by Tarantino. He was credited for helping bring the movie to US shores.

And Tarantino just presented it, did not make it. It came out in China a while ago. Same with Iron Monkey. How does it remind you of Iron Monkey. If anything, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

quentin loves chinese martial arts movies. so anything that he really likes will probably make its way to the usa. and like iron monkey it'll be in chinese with subtitles. if anyone didnt know that then just look at the previews for it and notice how u never hear any dialogue from the movie.

Sorry, I didn't see another thread about it sad

If I'm not mistaken Iron Moonkey was also filmed a few years prior to Tarantino bringing it over. I just saw another trailer for it and it really has my interest.

I saw it too, it was great, but look at the cursor on the dvd menu, its the mortal kombat dragon logo!!

Too bad it looks hella like a copy of "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon". They could've been a lil' more imaginative than that, I mean c'mon here!
Same director or fighting specialist. I pretty sure it is one of them.

Yes, same fight choreographer as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and the Matrix trilogy
