how do you setup rogers cable with your ps2 online system without a router?

I'm getting trouble and troubles,can't figure out how too setup rogers cable with my ps2 online I login to socom,they said it's connecting then suddenly connection fail, you don't have a link,what do they mean by you don't have a link,I've created few threads about but most people stay in deception discussion and not here,and deception is coming out and I'm trying my best to get ps2 halfass connection to work.

please help!

did you run the startup disk that came with the network adapter?(to set-up your ISP).And what type of connection do you have,dial-up or broadband?I just setup my ps2 network yesterday without any problems.

I did run the setup disc but I don't no how to create a macadress and I don't have a dialup so it has to be a broadband,right.

when you ran the startup disk did you try to do the automatic config?That way it automatically gets an IP,mac address,etc.

If you're hooking the modem directly up to the PS2, make sure you unplug the power to the modem, then plug it back in. This resets the modem. You'll need to do this each time you switch internet devices (such as plugging it back into the PC).

Assuming that's the problem...
