I need help deciding on new console hardware this holiday

Right now the Wii U and PS Vita have very few games I'm interested in playing. While the 3DS has quite a few, I know hardware wise It's not up to par with the other two and I think its a little over priced for what its worth.
I would preffer a portable system just because I can't seem to find my old gameboy advanced. I'd appreciate some opinions on this.

if your not worried with price i'd go with the vita.
if you want the newest gaming device i'd go with the wii u.
if you want the most affordable but not the greatest in graphics i'd go with the 3ds.
can't really say to much since i don't own any of these but am considering on getting a 3ds myself since it's cheaper than a vita. even the games are cheaper. if i didn't worry about price i'd get the vita. plays great and has a great selection of fighting games. which is my fav genre.
also it depends on your fav genres because certain gaming consoles/portables cater to certain gamers.
sorry if i wasn't that much of help.
let us know what you get when it get's around to december.

I have both a Vita and a 3DS.
I play my Vita a lot more. I have 9 games for it, and 4 of which I play fairly often considering I have a PS3 and 360 that I could be playing instead. A Vita is well worth it IMO. The graphics are also a lot better. Not that it really matters too much though.
The 3DS I only play on occasion because I'm not as interested in the games that are out for it. The only ones I really play are the ports like Zelda OoT.
So I'd go with the Vita. But that's only going off of MY interests.
I don't think this post helped much in the way of helping YOU decide

I'd say since you already have a PS3 and Xbox it may better to go for the Handheld.
Plus Assassins Creed Liberation, the Cross buy scheme seems pretty awesome too.

I think the 3DS is more appropriately priced than the Vita.
I have a 3DS, and I love it. Highly reccommended.

I'd go with 3DS.
It's priced perfectly imo. There are a TON of fun games to play, Kid Icarus, Mario Kart, Marios, Zelda, Star Fox, all the DS games, Professor Layton, ect ect ect, and there's a bunch of things on top of that too. It comes with a built in RPG game call3ed find mii that's pretty amazing.
I'll tell you about the Wii u later on in november :P

As far as games go. For the Vita the only game I have any interest in right now for it is Mortal Kombat (which I also on both the 360 and PS3) and Call of Duty Black Ops 2. As far as the Wii-U goes the only game that I'm looking forward to right now is New Super Mario brothers. I figure with the price of the Vita and Wii U basically being almost the same price, it might make more sense to just go with a new home console instead. Really the only reason I'd even consider getting a Wii-U at this point. I know there will be more games down the road. It's just right now the majority of the Wii-U's line-up is just rehashed games from the 360 and PS3.
I actually misplaced my old GBA and games so I was leaning towards a new handheld system. There is definitely way more games for the 3ds that I'm interested in over the other two system: Super Mario Brothers 2, Mario Kart, Street Fighter 4, Pokemon, Zelda OOT, Mario 64 3d. Plus the games are cheaper. For some reason I just feel the system is over priced the 3DS XL. I just feel it's more appropriately priced at $160, but maybe that's just from most past Nintendo handheld sold in that price range.
