Right then, here's the deal:
I have all the pages I want linked to each other and all with all the images where they're supposed to be. Recently when I previewed them in IE and started checking the links, only the text would show up and none of my images would appear. The hotspots are still there, but when I click on them, the same thng happens when a new page pops up.
My friend's site isn't published or anything. I'm just previewing it and all just to see that 'shit is sure like sugar' with this site! Then this friggin monkey wrench gets thrown into the machine.
I mean this shit is so frustrating, I'm about 10 seconds from butterfly kicking my dog out the window and into the street and giving my fish the "kiss of the dragon" with one of my chopsticks.
I'm gonna put it simply before I start killing innocent things... help would be appreciated.

Make sure that the images on your pages are in the same location as the html files or that you have not moved the images since you've specified where the link is coming from. If you have them linked, then move the images to another folder, you will break the link and the images will not show up, only their place holder, which is specified with in the html.
Usual protocal is to have a folder with you're entire web page in it. html files are in that root folder, while another folder for images, vids and so on are in another folder within. So...
C:/My web page
--with in are the html docs such as index.html, etc.
C:/My web page/images
with in this folder, images, are your images for that web page such as banners, porn pics, random 1337 ness.
This file structure makes it easy to upload, too.
It sounds like you just don't have the links for the images directed to the right location on your computer, so they're not showing up. Perhaps you moved the images on your PC after initially specifying their location? Go through and re-direct the images. Also, when you use Dreamweaver you start out by creating a new project, done so by directing Dreamweaver to look for images/html/vids/etc in a folder that you specifiy. All content should be in that folder.
Are you JUST working with Dreamweaver? Pulling in images and placing them in new dreamweaver docs. Like, I'm just wondering are you using Image Ready to slice up a Photoshop doc for your web page.

Hmmm... My way of doing it is a bit more and maybe too organized and structured. My root folder consists of the index.html, then the seperate page folders that contain the html and images for each page. It's worked fine for me in the past and even as lately as yesterday afternoon! Then all this wierd stuff started happening. I'll have to switch to the easier way you suggested.

Yeah, I am using Imageready to slice up Photoshop images.
But here's the woerd thing about what's goin' on. I've downloaded several pages with the image files and opened them up in Dreamweaver. Then I added links to see if the problem wasn't the way I structured to location of my assets. And they're doing the same bloddy thing. It's as if Dreamweaver isn't creating temporary pages anymore. I noticed that every time you preview a site there's a "TMP..." tag at the end, but once I get past the first page, they're no longer added to the end.
Friggin wierd doode!
