I'm as newby as they get, and yes I have checked the Community FAQ and the Sticky with no success...I assume you press change icon then paste in the directory but it just resets to noPI.png...

That's a little odd. You're on the right path by clicking, "Change icon" and you paste the url of your image. If you get an an error message, check whether the url is accurate. Or perhaps clear your cache or cookies.
