Awesome! 2 questions tho...
Where are you looking to go?
And, what kind of field do you want to get into? (modeling, programming, level design, etc.)

Good shit. I'd love to go back to school and start all over again in that field instead of the one I chose (C.A.D.). sad

Anywho, good for u man. Make the MK community proud!

What? C.A.D. is awesome! Did it get you into Maya or anyother 3d art programs?
I had gone to a regional CAD competition my sophomore year in HS, but I decided to focus on programming and got into computer information systems in college.... God, was that a mistake!

Meh. I got my degree in it, but mainly we used AutoCAD and a SMALL bit of Microstation.

AutoCAD was really cool with the 3D tho, especially after you put the cars and trees and sidewalks and dogs and stuff in. :)

Even on the mechanical end, making a piston or some widget and adding effects, very cool.

Ok now you're depressing me cause my job is with a VERY different program called 20-20, which I learned nothing of in school.
well i'm going to ITT tech, and i'm not sure what field i'm gonna get into.

ITT... Well at first it raised an eyebrow, but they do offer a specific bachelors degree in game design. Looking at the courses listed online, you'll most likely get into level design. But, they don't list anything about 3d modeling which is a huuuuuuuuge plus in landing a design job. The more you can do the better off you'll be.

But it's definately a step in the right direction! That paper with your name on it after graduation is pretty big to companies, but if you don't meet their qualifications it won't happen. Keep at it, and keep us posted!

Go for it. I pretty much quit mine at the start of the year because i found i wasn't all that interested in it, but it can be fun as hell.

Word of caution though, it can be very, very frustrating, and once you get into the industry and start working in that general feild, expect to be doing shitty jobs with long hours and no creative input for a few years, as it's quite likely that can happen.
In fact, you'll be lucky to get decent jobs with creative input, as your job is pretty much just do to what you're told. You model, map, or whatever, to the specifications you are given, and thats it. It helps immensely if you're good with your art too (drawing and the like), and having a decent background in photoshop is a must, but i suspect you'll be taught a bit of that anyway.

I'm not trying to discourage you or anything, i'm just letting you know that it can be quite difficult, and isn't all about putting all your great ideas into a best selling game (which is something a lot of people tend think).
Best of luck too.
