Another way I could ask this is, are we letting the terrorists win?
Some stupid controversy regarding the Sleepy Hollow TV show and a National Beheading Day. A business that happened to be named isis having to change it's name because of idiots who probably thought ISIS was recruiting people there. Another stupid controversy I read about concerning headless Halloween dummies. On another forum I visit, someone was opposed to writing a story featuring ISIS as villains, purely because they were afraid that it'd piss off ISIS, resulting in more atrocities on their part.
Then you have all those paranoid idiots who I'm sure would allow cameras to be installed right inside their homes in the name of security. They already are willing to flush many of their civil rights down the toilet, after all.
Just how far will it go? Why not force women in the US to wear burkas, while we're at it? Why not use terrorism as another argument against gay marriage? It was done before, shortly after 9/11, by some religious fundie.
So much for the land of the free and home of the brave. Not to single out the US as far as the fear of terrorism goes, but it's the one country who claims to be those things.
