Anyone here seen it? Just saw it yesterday and I thought it was a breath of fresh air to the horror genre. The cinematic visuals combined with the old school soundtrack were amazing....very atmospheric.
Anyone else have thoughts about it?

My wife and I only go to the theaters for blockbuster eye candy movies such as star wars and jurassic world, but i will be renting this the day it comes out on blu ray for sure. Heard it was hella scary, that true?

This intrigued me. The horror genre truly needs a fresh take, so I'll look into this if it lives up to the hype.
It's not a play on Christine though, is it?

Yeah I rarely go the movies anymore, unless its a new movie that's part of a favorite franchise of mine so ill probably wait for the DVD/Blu-Ray release.
Sounds good though, the commercial does give off an eerie vibe.

I've heard about it. I don't understand how that movie poster is supposed to inform the film though.
Explain?

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
It's STI in Horror movie form; I mean that literally. Whoever has sex with someone infected gets stalked by a monster that takes on the form of any human with the sole intention of tracking down the infected and killing them via any means necessary, including humping them to death. It gets around by walking around pretty slowly, so one can run away from it, but it'll never stop pursuing any infected person. It can't be seen by anyone except infected people. The only way to stave it off is to infect others via more sex, as it'll pursue the most recently infected, but it will eventually come back.

It was one of the few times that I was really interested in watching a horror film, as the concept was new, and because it got rave reviews. However, I found myself constantly mocking everything about it with my gal, and was greatly disappointed.
The music is cool, but its appeal wears thin rather quickly and I tuned it out for most of the movie.
I have to admit that I did enjoy the acting for the most part, but I didn't like the characters very much, and didn't empathise with any of them. It took a while before I even learnt the protagonist's name.
The worst part is that the ending is basically given away by the idea of the monster in the first place.

The monster always comes back and can't be stopped. The main characters accept that they'll always be followed and just keep on walking.

I don't get what all the fuss is about, and am glad that I didn't pay for the film.
