How is that even possible for a channel with almost no original content? You can actually make money off of re-uploads, videos of still images, and raw gameplay without commentary? Not so much a stab at you, more of a "wtf" to Youtube. I've seen a bunch of great quality review content that isn't allowed partnership due to legal issues, so this is somewhat mind boggling.

But seriously?

Not going to earn anymore subscribers talking like that. Makes you look terrible.

In any case, this isn't directly Mortal Kombat related so I'm moving it to General.

While I don't think it was necessary for you to post that image, I will however, agree that if you want people to actually subscribe to you, have some decency to not insult others while they're insulting you.

I haven't accepted partnership yet because I want to make something original before I do. Doing it for MK videos, especially without commentary, doesn't seem right to me.

Yea I got an email once to make money off a youtube video I made that was getting lots of views

it was a chicken dance remix featured on this popular newgrounds series

the reason why it got so much views was cuz no one had the mp3, my friend got it somewho and I just posted it

however I didnt accept to make money off it

It wasn't my song, I just posted it so people could hear it

It wouldnt feel right to make money off it

So for the OP, I dont know how you feel making money on non original content

From the MKO Kommunity FAQ:

Advertising

Many members of the MKO Kommunity may have interesting links to material they are working on themselves, or may be of interest to other users. Providing this is not in violation of other rules, users should feel comfortable to share this material, in moderation. Forum staff may require that you contain these posts to a single thread. Another effective way to share work you are producing is with a forum signature, which can support banner images and links.

Congratulations on the Youtube Partnership, however I feel this is something that doesn't deserve a thread to itself.

You may post a link to your Youtube channel in your signature, or in the Drive-By.

Bravo MKIceVsFire on completely snapping on some dude with that language. Could have just blocked him and ended it quietly. I don't know if people are gonna subscribe to someone who talks to people like that, I know I wouldn't.

Talking like that does not make you look professional or mature to deserve a partnership

I disagree with most of you on this post. First of all, that guy totally deserved it. That's what happens when you go around acting like a total ass on Youtube. Were you all too focued on MkIceVsFire saying "Fuck" that you forgot to look at the other guy accusing him of being fake and telling him go kill himself?

If people aren't going to subscribe to you because you put some jerk in his place, then you don't need them. Real subscribers will subscribe because you show them cool stuff. And that's proabaly why Youtube offered you a partnership.

I'm guessing the people at Youtube have all the legal stuff figured out. As long as you didn't sign a contract agreeing that you only have original content, it shoulf be between Warner Bros. and Youtube.

He could have easily done so without stooping to the other guys level, and that level of immaturity is unnecessary when you actually make some money from your videos.

It surely makes some of your subscribers and readers think "Man, this guy's got attitude, I'm digging it!" but in the same time there are people who do not read it that way, especially when the uploader posts always leave atop in YouTube. I'd recommend just to let them live in fallacy.
Other than that: it's good for you that your page is still up and running, but especially when you're about to become a more official source for MK stuff – leave the completely redundant insults away and focus in your real thing.

I can't say I haven't ended up watching your videos previously so props for that. Whether you're right or wrong about something, don't start a flame war. You need to delete the negative things from your channel, Ice. OK?

I have a feeling that Adsense sent him an offer to put advertisements on his videos, and they will pay him under certain circumstances. It isn't exactly a direct partnership with youtube for his video content. It's more or less insentive for him to get views.

I am making this assumption because AdSense hands out offers to many people, so long as one of their videos reaches a certain view quota. I got the same "partnership" last year. I believe people like Tay Zonday, iJustine, Jenna Marbles etc. have adsense as well, but they also have a unique partnership as their views have reached over one million.

adsense and a youtube partnerships are a totally different thing

I was offered adsense on one of my videos however thats not a partnership

for a partnership you need a certain amount of subscribers and views

The OP does have one though, he actually applied for one and was given it, He does get a decen amount of views and has over 10 thousand subs

If you're referring to account monetization, that's a little different

I realize they are different, that was kind of the point of my post. I was just assuming he was mistaken to what he had, considering the content grabbing.
