Anyway, YES indeed I am for Kerry mainly because I do not want Bush in office again. I do know Kerry's positions, and I like some of them quite well, overall MUCH better than Bush's policies. Kerry does not represent my exact political views by far(what candidate does?), however out of the two, he is the better choice in my eyes by far.

You can probably think of a million reasons to 'hate' Kerry, but by the same token I can do the same thing with Bush. How about we all lay off the mudslinging and debate?

Damnit, I wish TemparayUserName got involved in political debates, he is one of the VERY few people on this site it's worth it to debate with. I am having a GREAT debate with him via PM on religion. The truth is, 95% of you people cannot debate maturely. That includes people who are conservative and liberal both.

I've yet to see you or most of the other Bush supporters state any sort of reason why you're voting that way. In fact, I've yet to see the mojority of people here state why they're voting at all.

Sorry, but many of us (myself included) feel Bush has done some terrible things for this country, and are very angry about the direction he wants to take the country. Quite honestly, in my eyes, he is a liar, a thief, and a murderer. Send the Secret Service after me, send the FBI, send John Ashcroft with his PATRIOT Act. If having an opinion means having my head cracked open, may my blood fuel the cause of truth and freedom.

Do I think everyone voting for Bush is an "ignorant idiot that hates America"? No, I think perhaps they're a little too trusting of the government, and have fallen into the right wing's trap, setting themselves up for Fox "News"'s propaganda. I don't want to see political debate disappear from these forums because, honestly, I'm afraid. I'm afraid of the possibilities for America (and the world) if Bush is re-elected, and I'm afraid Bush might manage to win. That's why I share my voice with those who feel the same way, if there's any possibility we can convince anyone not to vote for Bush, it's worth it to me.

No, here's what should happen:

1. Everyone should be able to say how they feel about whom they are voting for as long as it's choierent and logical.

WHY? Cause people who supply superfluous arguemunts and statements with out clear and comprehensive thought only provide invalid and illogical positions that turn a honest conversation into a bomb throwing contest that iventually kills the topic.

2. If someone states what they ONLY see on t.v. and not from in depth research about the positions of the threee canidates, their position should be dissected like a frog in a biology class.

WHY? Cause people need to know when they're allowing the media to control what they think instead of getting off your ass and informing yourself on the issue. Politicians and the media always try to spin everything in their favor to reign people in to their side. Too many lambs being lead to the slaughter here!

I think this is a better idea than what you propose. These threads should stay up cause everyoune shuold express their positions. Just getting rid of them all goes agaisnt or 1st Ammendment right to free speach. And if someone spits out an invalid argument, then someone should call them on it. What? You want people to run around MKO saying shit without someone with the actual facts to correct them?

Actually Tinman, I use to be very involved in the political debates at this site. I still would be if it were up to me, but time no longer allows.

And if anyone here gets flamed for their views, they need to PM me or the other mods and we'll check it out. Due to my faulty internet connection, it's hard for me to do ANY moderating, so if you want me to take action, you got to highlight the problem. When UTSA gets tired of laughing at me as I struggle getting on the net, maybe they'll give me a decent connection more frequently.

Anyway, enough of the flames. Thread closed.
