I'm thinking about replacing my video card with another... but I have a laptop. I heard desktop ones are a little different (true?). So what are some NVidia video cards for laptops that I could find at stores or on ebay? I'm looking for a 128Mb... and thats kind of cheap. Thanks.

unless you bought a high end Alienware laptop. You are pretty much screwed. Laptops cant be upgraded as desktops cause it's a chip soldered on the mobo that makes the GPU on MOST of the laptops. If you want to upgrade, sell you laptop and buy one with a better video chipset or put a shitload of money in a Alienware laptop.

ah, ok. I think I'll stick to what I have. Thanks. Anyone else know about video cards in laptops?

You could buy a docking station that has either a PCI or AGP expansion slot in it.
You could then put a new video card into the docking station. However the graphics will only be output to an external monitor that is connected to the docking station.
It won't upgrade your notebook video card.

Alot of notebooks can also have their CPU upgraded as they are socketed chips and not soldered.
Hard disks can also be upgraded with ease on pretty much all notebooks.
