What is your least favourite music genre? Mine would have to be:
Pop

Actually, I can deal with pop, tho it's not my first preset on the car stereo. I really don't like Country and Christian stuff.

Yah, I agree, christian music demonises all other non-christian music...annoying

here's probably at least one song I like in almost every genre of music, so it's hard to say. I'm tempted to say pop, but "pop" is a very general term. I'd have to say the boybands/Britney Spears type of pop.

I don't like Pop and Rock.
I'll listen to anything thats real music (mostly anything that isn't dreadfully mainstream: the closest I'll get to mainstream is Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson) I like. But I especially like what's called "post-rock," featuring bands like Skindive, Collide, or Rasputina.

Euro-pop. I HATE it more than anything. The worst part about it is going to Spain for the summer and having to put up with it, only to come home and hearing it in the states (Los Ketchup, I'm talking about you!!). When that shit comes on the radio I become Cyborg Ninja from MGS, and start slamming my head against the floor to numb the pain. "Ahhhhh the medicine!"

Hey Hyuga I was wondering, what's with that techno stuff being called "hardcore"? The hardcore I listen to is a genre related to punk and metal; it has subgenres like metalcore, speedcore, and noisecore, which are also mentioned on that site you gave the link to, but the techno styles are obviously a lot different from the rock styles. Just wondering, why so many similarities in names, and so few in sound?
I know exactly what you mean. I often having a hard time explaining sombody like Doormouse or Venetian Snares to sombody who listens to punk, as I started listening to digital hardcore before the intrumental hardcore. The link is just a history of electronic music, hence the absence or intrument hardcore. Electronic hardcore just came about when people wanted faster and louder things, namely drums. They stem from the same place, but they're sort of evolved differently.
I think the above statement summarizes why genres are bullshit.
Oh, and for the record, the only people I think deserve to be in the "hardcore" genre in that link are Venetian Snares and Speedranch. Maybe I'll upload some Venetian Snares + Speedranch mp3s so everybody can have a listen.

I hate nothing more than Japanese Pop, and Country. Gospel, any other pop, and Reggae(except some of Bob Marley's stuff) come close.
