Un- FUCKING- necessary.
Really, couldn't you do this in a standalone world, something that would have taken effort? This is a Kain game in-name only.
Square Enix is reeling, Final Fantasy is even bigger of a joke than Star Wars about now....

At first I was like "A LEGACY OF KAIN GAME NOT COMING TO CONSOLESS!! WHAAAT"
but then I was like "oh, its a f2p mmo type game, pass".
Seriously, the series has lay dormant since like..2005? and they decide its best to come back with this instead of an adventure game? Does not compute.

It did not lay dormant. It was FINISHED.
Defiance potentially cut off all possible ends, the only initiative they had was Dark Prophecy which would have dealt with the potential Hylden threat, one which was unbound with the Pillars destruction.
Alas, the Hylden Lord/ Hash'a Gik was defeated both in Defiance and BO:LoK2 and as such even that part had a resolution.
Tony Jay died, the writers took off eventually. The game series WAS ended.
This is why I hope the video game marked with implode soon. Hollywood is on it's way to chane/die/diechange. The video game market needs to do the same.

I kind of agree. The gameplay they showed doesn't even look like an MMO but rather more of a multiplayer player mode from some shooter.
I'm actually excited about this as LoK was a favorite series of mine. It looks like a FPS - MOBA type of game which can be fun but will probably not be heavy on RPG storytelling like the typical games of the series. However, if the game is successful it could breathe new life into the series for a true LoK action/adventure sequel or reboot. I have no idea why you'd hate on a game being made using an IP that you enjoy especially if it revitalizes the series.

Thank you, thank you.
