So I just finished this game like 2 hours ago, and it was fucking awesome! This game's Single Player story is amazing!!! The whole game is amazing I literally have no other words to say other than that.... What do you guys think of the game? (Assuming you have it.) or Will you be getting?

I highly recommend you guys who don't have it to check it out. This game is simply amazing!

It really is fucking awesome! MP3 is one of the greatest games ever made. I'm towards the end of the game right now, it is simply amazing. Another one of Rockstar's masterpieces.

I love how the cutscenes go into action instantaneously, but I hate making failed attempts and dying alot. Medium difficulty is quite a chore since I don't use aim-assist or soft aim. Seriously, there is something very satisfying about the gameplay from start to finish.

I think it's good. Not as good as I hoped, especially having waited all this time but it's a Max Payne game so it has greatness bundled with it.

I miss the creepy noir feeling the first 2 had & the lack of scary dreams.

The constant blur effects and shaking screen in the cutscenes gave me a headache but I was still impressed at how cinematic it was.

I'm glad it had the NY flashbacks, they were actually my favourite parts.

Bullet time is awesome as is Max himself.

I played it on Hard with Free Aim on my first try. I died... alot.

I can't see myself doing hardcore, oldschool or New York Minute. That would be torture.

I haven't played online yet but I've heard good things about it.

If they do a Max Payne 4 I hope he goes back to New York but I can't see that happening after what he did before he left.

Overall, I enjoyed it but when I'm finished with it I probably wont play it much again unless there is story DLC coming out.

I'm hoping for Max Payne 1 & 2 HD!

It was good.

More about Max as a character, and less about the plot, rather the events of the plot.

It's more about thinking of situations to put Max in that could represent or explore a certain part of his mental state.

I'd say it comes pretty close to being a character study.

Gameplay is slick as hell, smooth and great. Graphics are really nice. Right in that sweet spot before uncanny valley if you ask me.

I was a bit disappointed with the lack of throwbacks to the first two games. I understand it's been 9 years, but I feel like they were avoiding it a hell of a lot. No V tags on the walls? No mentions of the pretty drastic events in MP2 besides Mona? (even then, one little mention and that's it). Inner Circle? Possibly the biggest crime organization in the world, gets no mention.

I have a felling it's because that stuff doesn't fit with Rockstar's type of storytelling, as it is a bit more hokey than the "gritty realism" they go for, but it's still Max Payne.

Don't take on an IP that doesn't fit with your creative goals. That's what I felt when it came to it's connections to MP1 and MP2. I understand it's a bit over the top, almost a parody at some parts in those games, but that was intentional. That's what type of story it was. MP3 loses that, and It gets a heavy dose of classic (sometimes bordering on predictable) Rockstar storytelling.

honestly a rent would do the job if you just wanna play the story and play online a few times

but i mean if you just want this game in your collection or are into the online then i highly suggest you wait out for a price drop

its bound to happen, within a few months it will drop, whether its a sale or something else

it happened a few months after arkham city where it dropped to 29.99 for a few days

or you could wait for a "complete" or GOTY type edition, max payne 3 already has announced DLC so there definitely a possibility of that happening, and Rockstar has done that plenty.

You will end up waiting a while but get a great deal.
Thats the stuff i usually do.

or you could try to find people who bought the game and got bored and want to sell it.

I will most likely get this game when it's really cheap. No one I know has it so I can just borrow it.

Finished max payne 3 a few minutes ago. awesome game. 9.5 out of 10
chapter 4 was so fuckin' awesome. pretty cool how some chapters are flashbacks. anybody know the correct order for them though? I would like to play the whole game in chronological order. I am 90% sure however that this is the correct order, but feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

chapter 4
8
11
1
2
3
5
6
7
9
10
12
13
14

Is this correct?

Just finished Max Payne 3. I must say I am throughly impressed. The story was amazing, gameplay has never been better, and I really liked how they handled the cutscenes.

I remember when they first announed this game people were pissed it wasn't in New York. They were scared it would lose it's dark noir feel. But I can tell you after playing this game, it still feels noir. New York enhanced the noir setting, but it's not the setting that makes it noir. It's Max.

This game proved to me that no matter where you put Max, the darkness will follow him. Simply because he is the darkness. You could put Max in Candyland and it would feel noir. But that's just how I feel about it.

I loved the Captain Baseball Bat Boy show, and the Hotel Mona. That and the fact that most of the trophies are references to old Max Payne monologues.

I pre ordered it, bought it, then played it for two hours and sat it down. It not that it isn't a great game it just that I'm too addicted to Starhawk to finish it right now.

Max Payne is gruesome! Do you prefer MP3 to amr. its predecessors? I think that Rockstar Vancouver did a good job with this one. Remedy Games is working on the Alan Wake games currently. Did the game leave space for a sequel? Will Max be a grandpa in the fourth installation?

I agree with you 100% on what you said. I finished Max Payne 3 on the 4th of July. I do miss the Graphic novel scenes from the first two games, but there's no way it could've been done with the game engine. The best part was Max despite down and depressed evolved and the ending shows that.
