Metroid and Zeldas 25th Anniversaries

Two of the most iconic and beloved games ever are a quarter-century old this year. Zelda celebrated its grand landmark last week, but a future collection could still come out. Same goes for Metroid.

Anyone else eager to see if these games get the Mario 25th Anniversary All-Star treatment?


Who wouldn't want both to get some special treatment, with collectible packaging, CD soundtrack, art books, lithographs, compilation disc of the classics, figurines, bonuses, etc.?

What would you like Nintendo to do for the 25th Anniversary of two of its most beloved games?

For Zelda, I would love to see them use the Twilight princess engine to redo Ocarina of time and maybe even A Link to the Past.

Altho that is pretty much nuts and impossible, lol, so I'd just take a recollection of zelda games on the Wii with some cool posters and whatnot.

Iwata announced today that they would be doing something for the Zelda anniversary. No real details tho except for the fact that Miyamoto is personally in that. I think nintendo forgot metroid's Anni is this year too

THIS. Very, very, verrrrrrrrrry this. What I would give to play a reimagined A Link to the Past or OoT. I'd even play Majora's Mask...love that game. Definitely much darker and different then the others.

Its very highly unlikely but I'd love a re imagining of link's awakening (my favorite) or the oracle games. Maybe even turn the oracle games into the trilogy they were supposed to be.

They could use cell shading for it too, but not with toon link. I'd want the old skool link from those games
