Also, Midway's finanicial situation continues to get worse. They just recently acquired a 5 year loan. See it here:

How many times must that "Rumor Control" URL be posted? I've counted 4 times thus far...3 times in another topic relating to this very same subject...

Look, dont you people get tyred of being wrong?

Reply to my post if you agree with me.

First they said mortal kombat wouldnt do well after mk2, it sold millions.

Then they said microsoft will buy, and im sure it wont.

Then they said mk will corrupt all children, now thats proven to be false, if anything the gameplay makes peoples senses keen and they become smarter.

If MK is such a loser, why does it have one of the most made games in history, bar final fantasy maybe?

Dont make no sense.

That is unfortunate about Midway's financial situation. I wonder what will become of the Mortal Kombat franchise when Midway goes under.

If MK6 sells as well as MKDA (judging from what I've seen it will do better) this will make Midway a lot of money.

Its really not about sales. MK 6 was in the works before MK deadly alliance was released.

Its about whether the creaters have the will power to withstand all the bitchin the MK fans do.

If Zero copies of MKDA sold, MK6 would have had it's plug pulled. That's how it works. Just like software products. If Adobe makes a new program for lets say graphic novels, on the day it comes out they are already working on a new one. But with all things if the first program doesn't sell the second is pulled. So what I am saying is MKDA's sales had a lot to do with it. We live in a capitalist country and SALES is everything.

Midway doesn't get the kind of revenue that bigger companies like Square get. They simply can't rely on one game series to keep the whole company afloat...

Well, it could be because, by and large, Midway produces cheap, shoddy games.

Midway has good games especially their action-sports games. Is there any proof Midway is doing bad financial wise? Most of their games do sell I never heard anyone from Midway say we're doing bad.

Dr fatality I guess those are based on stock market reports, or financial reports, I guess if you think about it they did release a financial report recently, how did they do?

You know what, outworld222? You have just convinced me to start buying shares of Midway's stock as soon as I have the money to do so, and I'm not being sarcastic. I won't be able to buy those shares until this summer, because just started a job at SeaWorld in San Antonio, so I'll be working weekends until summer. Besides, Midway has made more great games than just the MK series. Remember NFL Blitz?

EA came out with NFL Street and NBA Street, and as much as I like Blitz and NBA Jam, those games are much better. EA is taking that market. Tho Slugfest is one HELL of a game.

Im glad im inspiring people to buy some shares, but if Midway took out a five year loan, that means that there shall at least be an MK7, possibly even an MK8 ( 2 and a half years to make each game).

Nothing beats NFL Blitz.NFL Street is alright but I got bored with it.I dont like NBA Street 2 that goes for NBA Jam '04 too but Midway dosent make Jam anymore.
