if viacom buys midway to develop games for there tv franchises, then decide they need a freindly face and put an end to all the games we love and like ot tone down em, then piss of all the fans of midway, so they stop buying midway, and the companies losses money outside of there tv based games, could our favorite franchises be sold at auction like 3DO?

Today, I stand before everyone and would like to publicly give a big "fuck you" to Sumner Redstone before the buyout even becomes official! If I remember correctly, Sumner Redstone publicly stated that his interest in buying out Midway was strictly personal and had nothing to do with Viacom. But knowing the recent corporate scandals such as Enron, MCI WorldCom, Martha Stewart, and Girls Gone Wild, how can we be so sure that Sumner Redstone was telling the truth?
If ANYONE can get his e-mail address, PM it to each other, so we can flood his Inbox with Hate Mail to show him that we, the CONSUMERS, make the shots around here and not the greedy stockholders.
Big corporations always try to buy out other companies just to turn around and use their own profitability as a weapon against the same company they bought out. Some of you may know this, and some may not, but those of you who play guitar have probably heard about the time Fender was bought out by CBS in about the mid 1960's because the company's founder, Leo Fender, had health problems interfering with his management of the company. Guess what CBS did to Fender? They mismanaged the hell out of that company. And the result? Fender's sales, more specifically the sales of the Fender Stratocaster, took a steep plunge, and it took YEARS, as well as a music industry veteran willing to buy out Fender back from CBS, for the company to recover from CBS's mismanagement. The same could happen with Midway as a result of Viacom.

I have two questions,
1) Is there going to be a buyout
2) is a trap, dont go for it.
I mean, The MK franchise is doing just fine. You dont need a change. Game over.

As long as the decent people in connection with the Mortal Kombat games have a say, it won't really matter. Besides if you consider the possible fact that everyone buys MK games on this site, then imagine the buisness lost if the next game is a G or PG. They'll come back because they need to make money.
